    Clues carried over

    guess the EON character

1 You’ll need three if you want to meet me
2 You’ll need three if you want to meet me
3 You’ll need three if you want to meet me
4 Ouch. This task would be easier with a mirror
5 Fool him once, fool him twice
6 Bond has his own collection of these items
    7 I share a connection with Jack
8 Get it in just the right place and it will fit perfectly
9 My accommodation is very similar to Bond’s, perhaps?
10 You see what comes of all this running around, Mr. Bond? I’m much more relaxed
11 I give the signal, but it’s not a nod
12 If he had known, Q would have loved to meet me, but he’s not getting the chance
13 Bond’s visited several of these places in his time
14 You’ll need three if you want to get rid of me
    15 Follow the trail ... 1910, 1901, 2356
16 You’ve seen me before? Think again, Mr Bond
17 Grace and her companion seem blissfully unaware of my presence
    18 Picture clue

19 I’m an early riser myself
20 I hope JB moves out of the way quickly before an accident happens
21 On closer inspection you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference
22 When I give the signal (clue 11) a Bond girl should be worried
23 I don’t get to be Number One. But I do get one more than the Professor
24 Mine is black and white and red all over
    25 I’m feeling a little delicate today
26 I look like someone I am not
27 And I look like something I am not

Baron Samedi? I don’t know why I didn’t guess him earlier.

    Fits surprisingly well!

    Baron Samedi Statue?

Very well done fine sir it is indeed Baron Samedi’s clay mannequin!!

Now, correct me if I’m wrong because I’ve been having kittens for days, but I’m sure you guessed that a good while back. I was getting ready to post the answer when the guess changed to something else, leaving me unsure what to do! As the answer had gone I thought I’d better carry on and no doubt after another couple of clues you’d guess it again, but you didn’t! Then I thought well what happens if someone guesses it now? I was expecting a full on dispute and my expulsion from the forum!

So phew, well done @Birdleson, I’ll get the answers posted ASAP!

    Solution: Baron Samedi’s clay mannequin

1 You’ll need three if you want to meet me (3 people needed to summon)

2 You’ll need three if you want to meet me (3 taps on the gravestone to summon)

3 You’ll need three if you want to meet me (3 chants of the magic word - I won’t even attempt to spell - to summon)

4 Ouch. This task would be easier with a mirror. (looks up to see what’s happened to his head)

5 Fool him once, fool him twice (the first time, Bond thinks the mannequin is Samedi, the second time Bond initially thinks the real Samedi is another mannequin)

6 Bond has his own collection of these items (tombstones, in the cemetery at Skyfall)

7 I share a connection with Jack (Jack - M’s British bulldog, also made of clay)

8 Get it in just the right place and it will fit perfectly (the hat is laid in just the right place on the grave for clay-Baron to rise and wear it)

9 My accommodation is very similar to Bond’s, perhaps? (That is Andrew/Monique Bond ie the graves at Skyfall)

10 You see what comes of all this running around, Mr. Bond? I’m much more relaxed (unlike the real Baron who is always prancing around, and Bond who is energetically shooting everyone)

11 I give the signal, but it’s not a nod (blinks once to indicate its time to kill Solitaire)

12 If he had known, Q would have loved to meet me, but he’s not getting the chance (he’s quite a technological/magical marvel, but unfortunately destroyed)

13 Bond’s visited several of these places in his time (visited cemeteries/graveyards in other films)

14 You’ll need three to get rid of me (Bond needs three bullets to finish him off)

15 Follow the trail ... 1910, 1901, 2356 (1910 is the date on the grave next to the one he rises from, 1901 is the date on the grave he rises from, Bond looks at his watch at 23:55 and a minute later - 23:56 - he appears)

16 You’ve seen me before? Think again, Mr Bond (He looks just like Samedi, and Bond assumes it is him)

17 Grace and her companion seem blissfully unaware of my presence (The grave next to the one he appears from belongs to Grace and Katie Jane who will ‘meet again in bliss’)

18 Picture clue - ‘Look Up’
(Samedi looks up to inspect the damage to his head)

19 I’m an early riser myself (rises up from the grave first, before the real Baron)

20 I hope JB moves out of the way quickly before an accident happens (The grave clay-Baron rises up through belongs to James Brocket)

21 On closer inspection you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference (looks remarkably like the real Samedi)

22 When I give the signal (clue 11) a Bond girl should be worried (the signal to kill Solitaire)

23 I don’t get to be Number One. But I do get one more than the Professor. (Not the first person shot by Bond in the scene - Dambala - but Bond does shoot him 3 times, one more than Professor Dent)

24 Mine is black and white and red all over (Black hat with white feathers streaked with blood)

25 I’m feeling a little delicate today (Made of clay)

26 I look like someone I am not (Baron Samedi)

27 And I look like something I am not (a skeleton)

I thought a fun character is just what we need at this time, and I always find the Baron (clay or otherwise) very entertaining to watch.

    And now back to business!
