    Alexis/Anatol Gogol?

Does his name change? I never noticed that.
Yes, in TSWLM M (the 'would be ally'?) calls him Alexis; in the other films it's Anatol. So, perhaps the name is Alexis Anatol Gogol

Cool: I never spotted the Anatol ones! Maybe M has a pet name for him... or just forgot it! :D
Apparently, you can only spot them in the credits, never hear them :--)
But surely, M is really stressed out with 007

Didn’t several people in NSNA adopt the name James Bond? Is it one of these people? I still unapologetically have not seen this film. :P
But maybe this leads someone else to the answer?
Wait, nevermind, it’s a Fleming character...

EDIT Wait, nevermind #2: Realized I'm talking about CR67, not NSNA.

@NickTwentyTwo , I believe that you are getting a pair of films confused.

Yes, and to my embarrassment; I edited.

    Vesper Lynd

    Clues Answers:

    1. That intro was about as smooth as “S’all good, Man.”
The reference was, as someone guessed, a nod to the origin of Sal Goodman's moniker on BREAKING BAD and BETTER CALL SAL. It reminds me of the clever Moneypenny reference from CR between Bond and Vesper: "I'm the Money." "Every Penny of it."

I don’t understand this: what’s the connection to Saul?

I got the Saul Goodman reference, but tied it to Prof Joe Butcher, rather than Vesper lol :S
