    Can it get much tougher than this??? 8-}

    VILLAINS-


    1. Ernst Stavro Blofeld- as much as I love the #2, we're talking about the head of SPECTRE. I tend to prefer Savalas to Pleasance but I like them both.


    2. Auric Goldfinger- would you expect any other choice from me? Frobe's performance is full of understated menace and is very likely still to this day more legendary than any other Bond villain in Hollywood and general public standards.

    3. Very, VERY tough call because I love Emilio Largo, but I have to go with Dr. Julius No. The first Bond villain of them all has to count for something.



    HENCHMEN-


    1. Oddjob- The most iconic henchman of them all, the one who set the standard for the 2nd most iconic henchman in Jaws.


    2. Rosa Klebb- Lotte Lenya's performance as a butch lesbian who doesn't mind killing someone is truly creepy. I love the scene where she calmly smokes a cigarette while watching Bond and Romanova get it on, like she's sitting in a late night porn theater. I gave a lot of thought to Red Grant as well but he's a hired thug who has no access to Blofeld, meaning Klebb is higher in the proverbial food chain.


    3. Fiona Volpe- Delicious and evil to the core. The sexual nature of her character was no doubt an influence on all villainous women to come, in particular Xenia Onatopp. I would disagree that she was the best looking Bond girl of the 60's, but to see her go from playing an oversexed contessa the year before in one of Frankie and Annette's bad (although classic) beach movies (she stole the movie there too) to this, you have to appreciate Luciana Paluzzi and I definitely do for many reasons.

    @SirHenryLeeChaChing: Rosa Klebb as a henchmen? I've always considered Klebb to be the main villain in FRWL. We always say that Largo is the main villain in TB when we know that Blofeld is hading it up, so I've always considered FRWL the same and said that Klebb was the main villain.

    Good point, didn't think of it that way. I'll revisit and update that later.

    You wouldn't believe the debate that this gets! I remember some thread a while back that asked who the main villain in FRWL was, and we had answers all across the board! Some people even thought that Red Grant was the main villain!

    probably a degree of change from what I thought initially but that's what I'm going with at this moment in time
