Well Brosnan has officially confirmed so I don't think he'll be fading from this picture. ;)
After scanning this thread and seeing photos like these, I am even more excited:

It's so nice to see things looking so good for Brosnan, especially after so much personal hardship as of late. In November Man it looks like he will finally get to play a straight-edged, gritty spy that he always wanted when he was Bond, and that he is envious of Craig for getting. The photos look great, he looks out of this world badass, and I can't contain my excitement. Better yet, Olga Kurylenko is in this film too, right?
As for the Expendables news, that would be phenomenal. Brosnan seems to really be having fun and picking the acting work that thrills him. I have nothing but high hopes for him as he enters this new stage in his career, where he's more badass then ever before. I may make a November Man poster to put my excitement to use, or use the set photos to craft a fake Bond poster. It'll be hard to top what @Murdock did though; great work on that one, mate!
Seriously?! That's awesome! Now I have two films to be madly excited about. :)
Here's some great photos of Pierce I found on my recent Google image searches (in spoiler tags to prevent too long a post):

This one is from a Saint Patrick's Day even in Ireland in 2011:

Could Pierce look any cooler? I doubt it. I still have to see the second one (it's on Netflix, though), but I do want to see it and the third because of Mel Gibson's involvement. If Pierce is in #4, I'll definitely see it.
Same. When I heard Harrison Ford would be in the third one, I decided to watch the first two, and then the third one, but I really couldn't get past the first half hour of the first Expendables movie.
Wow, he's SO busy!!
Untitled Pierce Brosnan/Jack Orman Project (TV Movie) (announced) ?
The Moon and the Sun (pre-production) 2015
Survivor (filming) 2014
The Coup (post-production) 2014
How to Make Love Like an Englishman (post-production) 2014
November Man (completed) 2014
A Long Way Down 2014
I don't know much about it either, but if Pierce and Aaron Paul are in it I'd check it out.
Same here. Bond sits in a different category for me.
Am interested to hear how November Man is reviewed. After watching The Tailor of Panama early in the Brosnan era, I realised that Brosnan did actually have some acting ability, but that it was just being mis-directed in Bond. I'd love to see him play a slightly twisted and cynical secret agent role - how he should have approached Bond from the start.
Have you seen the Taylor of Panama? He's pretty good in that. Thought he was decent in the Ghost Writer. Still haven't seen the Matador, but have heard it's good.
I think he's funny here. Seems to be having fun.
That's awesome... isn't that a pic of him from DAD?
I agree, the third will be great. I too was excited for Chan to be in the third, I heard he wanted a decent size role in it and Sly agreed, wonder what happened?
The franchise needs a boost? In what way?
Well, it lacked a James Bond and now it has one, so maybe that's it?
That would be incredible. I'm just so excited for Pierce's next work. He's finally getting the kind of gritty spy material he wanted during his era, so I can't wait to see how he fares in these types of roles. He must be so elated by all this, and in all the set photos for November Man and Survivor he looks so incredibly badass. I can't wait to see these films.
It'd be great if his character in The Expendables was exactly what you said, a tuxedo wearing British spy, and he remained nameless the entire film to sort of poke at the idea of him playing Bond himself.
Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if they made some kind of nod to Bond with Brosnan. They did the same kind of thing with Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and Willis in the first film.
Vodka martini, stirred, not shaken ;)
They're pretty much B-grade action movies at best. Hopefully, Brosnan will help raise the bar, or at least make the movie memorable.
You are at best kind of batshitcrazy, after Expendables 1 they really hit their stride with number 2 and undoubtely nr. 3 will be a big hit.
It is nice for Brosnan to be a part of it, but I cannot see him improving the very well working formula of the various former actionheros in one movie. If anything it would raise Brosnans popularity.
