What an eyesore. Honestly, if Craig ever farted in those SP/SF suits...game over.
That'll make some 'LMFAO' music video... Remember the "Sexy and I know it" song from a few years ago? :))

There's a shot of him and M in SF, he has his hand in his pocket, and you can
see all the bones in his hand,..... In fact I never knew he had Six fingers ! ;)

I can tell by the way Brosnan walks that his underpants don't match the cut
Of his suit. Spoilt the entire movie for me. Now Dalton, there's a man who
Knew how to mix and match ! :D

We all know that this ruined his gunbarrel walk, but again: This is an appreciation thread.

Brosnan always wore his suits well, but the look was too corporate (intentionally I believe, based on what I've read somewhere). Like a banker (ironically, which was his disguise in TND). In GE in particular, with the swanky ties as well, he looked more like a Goldman Sachs type than a trained spy.

I'm in complete agreement that Craig in SF/SP has by far the worst suit cuts. Disgraceful in my view. Jany Temime must go, and I'm willing to start a petition if need be.
My only complaint about the Brosnan suits were that they were three-button jackets instead of two. What is he? A student in a private school with a uniform? :))

And yes, @bondjames, you've read that in The Suits of James Bond website in an article that was a poll, leading the fans to pick which style of clothing they liked. He referred to Brosnan's three-piece suit in Tomorrow Never Dies as "a powerful man's look, a businessman at that, but not a suitable spy." I kind of agree on that. But, I do insist that TWINE/DAD had a great wardrobe and fine cut suits for Brosnan. Even the windsor tie knots looked too great.

I think for the SF/SP wardrobe, it's not Temime to blame. It's Craig himself who prefers those suits in his personal life, too.

His Tauxedos though were two buttons and he looked very nice on them especially the onenat the end in The world is not enough and the Party scene in Die Another day.

Broz always seems to do that cheesy smile in photographs.

Good to see a balanced assessment on Brosnan's Goldeneye performance from @NicNac.

I have to admit I agree about Brosnan's performance in the Q scene being quite poor. Actually, most of the scene feels quite stilted from both Broz and Desmond I think.

There's a few funny moments though. I always smile at the shot of the phone box being wheeled away as well and the woman flung through the air in the background.

All right to revive the positive spirit
I wanted to say that i just finished Butterfly on a Wheel which is one of Pierce Brosnan greatest performances breaking the typecast roles.

He did a great job as Tom a psychpath willing to do anything since he says he has nothing to loose.

And yesterday i showed a friend The World is not enough which confirmed why its my favorite performance by Pierce as James Bond.
He nailed everything in it: confidence, charm, the though side, the coolness and being a great ladies man.

Well, he'll be bearded for a long time since he's doing the old western miniseries.

Looks were never Brosnan's problem. Ever. I suspect the man will look younger and fresher than Craig 10 years from now, given how age tends to go in stages and he's already transited into his 'elderly look' while Craig is in transition to it.

Apparently taken from a trailer, here's Brosnan in character as Eli McCollough from the western drama miniseries called The Son.

Recently I watched "The Ghost Writer" by Roman Polanski and I really enjoyed the film. Pierce did an ok job there I think but for me it was really difficult to take him seriously in the role. Don't get me wrong, I liked him as Bond but it is difficult to see him in a different and more serious role.
I'm actually quite the opposite @GBF. I found Brosnan tolerable as Bond but I much prefer him in nearly everything else that he does, and especially the Ghost Writer, where I thought he was quite fantastic. I recommend the Tailor Panama, The Thomas Crown Affair & The Noble House miniseries to see Brosnan at his best (imho.).

Not a fan of him as Bond at all but have really enjoyed some of his other work. Tailor of Panama and the Ghost Writer in particular.

Wooow, he looks very good. Almost like time never passed on him in wishede wouldn't have needed the beard for that series.

I actually think Pierce looks better now, with a few years on him, than he did
when he was younger. Although he still looks far younger than he is. :)
