And is he playing against Peter Franks??
Also, his zipper looks at half-mast, waiting for our man to pop off for a quick one...
Has anyone heard of this upcoming book? I'm interested.
Yes, I wrote one of the essays in it. But mine is about the book, not the film.
Alright, I can't wait to read it!
He mentions Goldfinger and On Her Majesty's Secret Service, for their film milestone anniversaries. His next books perhaps? I hope so!

I was wondering people's opinions on them.
Shame really, because this is my favourite Bond film, so a good book about the making of YOLT would be right up my street.
The second book fairs better on Amazon, with a few reviews offering 5 stars. I would be interested in that one.
You can preview Graham Thomas's book by taking a look at some of his articles for Artistic Licence Renewed. He's a Fleming/Bond fan who has lived in Japan and knows it very well.
Thank you for the information!
Connery also played a Norwegian in RANSOM.
As in Hunt for Red October - impeccable Russian accent.
And only Connery could get away with it with winking at the camera at the end of NSNA. Only Connery, only James Bond.
To further emphasise this difference, we have that character (I like to think his name’s Peregrine Carruthers) who turns up at the casino and says: “I’m looking for Mr James Bond” in almost comically strangulated English tones, in stark contrast to Connery’s cultured yet classless delivery.
(And am I right in recalling that Craig imitated the Connery/Bond walk at one point in CR as a kind of tribute?)
As for Connery’s walk, just compare it with the almost self conscious way Dalton and Brosnan walked into the casino. Connery was natural and you could imagine every head turning to watch him. The latter two seemed to be saying ‘please look at me don’t I look a tough mother?’
Excellent interview, I have not seen this one previously
Watching Hell Drivers 1957 a film I have not watched previously, a very young Sir Sean has a supporting role, he appears a few times in the trailer.
The film has an impressive cast which includes Sid James, Patrick Mcgoohan, Stanley Baker, Herbert Lom, Gordon Jackson, David Mcallum and William Hartnell.
Excellent movie I will certainly be buying this gem.
Interesting thoughts from Sir Sean, from 2007
