"As with many Swedish traditions, the how is more important than the why"
That's just what I do every May, nothing wrong with being a happy Pagan!
My late father would have looked at that last picture and said "don't bother with the wrap, I'll eat it here!" :P
Happy Midsummer (or Sonnewendfeuer as we of the German traditions would say) to all my Swedish cousins!
Many thanks, and will do. The Swedish seem like a good crew to have a hell of a time with. :)
That has to be the coolest day of all time. I am/never will be a drinker, but damn does it look like an amazing time. Good luck to you, @DiscoVolante, as well as your family and friends on this day. May it be the greatest Midsummer yet. Drink a dozen nubbe for me! :D
Who wouldn't be.
Happy day is here again. O:-)
Britt Ekland, Maud Adams, Kristina Wayborn, Mary Stavin, Max Von Sydow, Izabella Scorupco, Ola Rapace and Jens Hultén all says " cheers " here from Sweden ;)
Well, it's time again!

Zlatan must be glad that he can celebrate at home this year as he is celebrating his vacation.
A little song we sing in Sweden when it´s midsummer... ;)
See from 1:46 onwards!:
