I'd like to see Don't Torture A Duckling and Contraband next.
You don't? To me he is the epitome of a movie hero. The man is almost 50 and still looks like he could wreck you in a second. He does all his own stunts, even the dangerous stunt in Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol where he ran down and around the Burj Khalifa!
Yes, THAT thing.
He is an idol of mine, and I hope I am in that shape when I get to be his age. If I ever saw him in person I doubt I could get up from this position: ^:)^
Tom is 2,717 feet off the ground, yet looks so relaxed. What a guy.

I'm confused...can't get further from badass means that you think he's the least badass person in the world. Really? He's in better shape at 50 than most guys half his age, does stunts that some experienced stuntmen would be scared to do, and has hobbies that would make most men throw up (like flying stunt planes). He may not have a shaved head and lots of tattoos but the man is pretty damn cool in my book.

really would of liked to have seen him undertaken a Bond release at some stage
Ah, I understand. I was wondering if it was some oblique reference to how high up he was!
I know that there are a lot of people who don't like Cruise's religion so they feel that diminishes every other part of his life. But the man always brings it to every film he makes, lives life to the fullest, and is always looking for new challenges. I used to be angrily jealous of how much the girls in my school were in love with him (back in the Top Gun/Cocktail days) but when I grew up I realized that no girl was going to fall out of love with him and into love with me by me or other guys insulting him. So instead of trying to drag his name down I started to try to build myself up. I would recommend that approach to any young guy who feels threatened or angry about attractive male celebs *cough* Daniel Craig in swim trunks *cough* ;-)
Agreed, DC. When I saw it I was pleasantly surprised - I figured it would be good but it was much better than I expected. Especially that it was so involving considering that the audience knows the assassination plot will be unsuccessful...
I tend to agree.............But after certain antics of a diverse plummage of actors I do find myself steering clear of their work untill I have forgotten about it. That said I still have some aversion towards the worl of one Mel Gibson, his rants showed his true character and that still annoys me.
that was the major success of the film. There was a real sense of suspense, even though you knew how it would end. I was on the edge of my seat the whole film !
As for Mel Gibson, who would want to see 'The Beaver' ?
Tom Cruise is 50? I suppose he is when I think about how long he's been in films, but still, he's aged really well.
