Didn't see I made any. Did you delete it now?
Friend, again you are the one missed the point, what you call "the fact" is absurd, you simply call it "fact" but you don't provide data to backup your argument that general audience think about their popularity, if someone talk about 'fact' normal people would provide data my friends...so where is your database to support what general audience thinks???
It works both ways, friend - no one here can say for a fact that Craig is more popular than Brosnan or that Brosnan is more popular than Brosnan. I am basing my argument on all the discussions I've had in the cinemas I've worked in during the last 4 years and to the schools I've been to...... it was pretty clear, based on what I've seen, that the entire Craig fans / Brosnan fans fuming here is moot - both DC and PB have more-or-less the same immense popularity, especially in the younger audience - , and the 2nd thing I've noticed is that most of the younger audience doesn't care about stuff that came before their birthyear, as if for someone born in 1993, the 1980's are prehistoric.
so what you call "general audience fact" is based on your own discussions??? your sample is even smaller than this forum community
Eh ? In the cinema I work with we have 250 000 movie-goers per year... I don't deal with all of them personally, but I do talk with a lot more people for my job than there are on this website. So actually my sample is bigger than this community. And of course I talk to people who don't go to recluse communities, or even take part in any online movie conversations.
Sorry, but the smallest and most insignificant sample of movie-goers is websites like this one.... where most members aren't even represantative of society.
eh? who can believe that? you can claim any moviegoers you talk to, you might said 1,000,000 movie-goers , but who can prove that? is that you call a "fact"? is that you call representative of general audience? because you talk to people working at your place? that's a "fact" to you?
sorry but your sample is not even representative of society either my friend...moviegoers on your workplace is not even a representative...
Sorry but I am simply tired of the Brosnan basher feeling like they are the elite of Bond fans because they are the majority here......... because they aren't. their opinions on Brosnan isn't the truth, so I wish they would stop forcing their opinions down the throat of others, and stop sounding like a broken record whenever someone posts a positive message on Brosnan.
I am tired of people acting like anyone who disapproves of Craig and/or approves of Brosnan is a bad Bond fan, an idiot or even unworthy of being a Bond fan.
so don't you call it a fact then, my friends...you keep saying your believe about general audience saying is a "fact" , you can't said your own discussions is a fact, at least this small forum HAS the data no matter how tiny or small the participants of this poll or insignificant compare to your self-proclaimed "general audience" based on your own discussions...
No it doesn't. It has no data at all. What a couple hundreds of hard core Bond fans say on a recluse website is completly meaningless. This website is not a representation of reality in any way ! Simple as. This website is utterly insignicant and meaningless. No one cares what the majority thinks on this website, and what we say it totally not important.
Plenty of us, yourself and myself included, are guilty of that at one point or another. Let's not take out the violin and get holier than thou. It's my belief that everyone is entitled to like or not like something in the series whether it be an actor, movie, composer, etc. Some people take it way too far though.
Sometimes I feel like a "lesser Bond fan" for having a smidgen of love for Pierce Brosnan (my childhood Bond). Especially when you get obsessives on here who shall remain nameless that spout their anti-Brosnan crap. Don't get me wrong, Craig's one performance in CR is better than all of Brosnan's but still - Brosnan started it all for me. Even seeing Sean Connery in a few seconds of SC in GF failed to wow me when I was younger.
You are not a "lesser Bond fan" for liking Brosnan. No one is. I like Brosnan too, just not as much as the other series actors.
Exactly. That will always be the eternal debate among Bond fans, both hardcore or casual.
Agreed! For this I've received comments like "go to an Austin Powers forum" and "stick to Leslie Nielsen Bond parodies". Not to mention thousands of "you are stupid", (but the latter ones I can laugh at). If I were the same I could tell some of you to "stick to Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy type of spy thrillers", but I don't, since I'm a Moore Whoore. :))
It's only one "O" mate. That makes you a Drunk Moore Whore. ;)
A drunk Moore whore who needs to learn some grammar and how to spell. =))
Well, I'll take that "hillbilly" :)) :-/ and his two movies and portrayal over the entire Brosnan run and most of the Moore era.
I still don't understand this CNB crap about him not looking the part, yet Sir Roger didn't quite either and he gets a pass? Craig has proven to many, many people here and in the general public that he is much better than initial predictions based on his hair color. To me, IMO, basing an opinion on a Bond based on their hair color is extremely shallow and short-sighted.
Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion. I was not referring to his hair colour, more of his rough posture and style of walking. But I do think that can be corrected.
Absolutely everyone here is entitled to their opinion, this isn't North Korea.
I'll have to look at CR/QOS again and do a little comparison to see what you mean. Never thought about that.
This Bond is definitely not a finished product, it can't be when DC was playing a rookie in 2 retro adventures that intentionally don't present Bond as a finished product.
