every picture fits the actor who plays bond I say just enjoy your bond they are all great just like bond womans

It's a hard choice for me. I like them both. I guess my appreciation for Dalton, which has existed for over 15 years now, beats Craig but ever so slightly. [/quote]

  • When it comes to action and energy Craig is the best bond ever. If any Bond could survive in the real world of espionage it would be Craig. I will agree with others that Craig does not fit the suave sophisticated bond profile, but what does that have to do with being a great spy. As for the replacement of Bond's trademark martini for a (boring) beer (thank you MGM sell out) the studio is to blame, not Craig.

@LucidWarrior FYI and just to get things clear: Beer is not replacing Martini! Bond will have a pint in the film, like he has done before in both films and books, no " MGW sell out". Paraphrasing the great bard "much ado about nothing".

The beer has been paying the bill since at least TND, I still have those metal beer coasters from that movie from Heineken. I kinda like them but would not voluntary drink the stuff.
  • Some of you people are completely insane; putting Lazenby anywhere other than the bottom of the list is madness as is putting anyone before Sean Connery. The list should read:

Sean Connery - He's Sean Connery - what else needs to be said?

Daniel Craig - I was reluctant to like Craig in the role but the scene in CR where he is strapped to the chair and is being beaten with the knotted rope - there is something very authentically 'rebellious-kid-from-the streets' about it. Closing in on Sean Connery.

Pierce Brosnan - I wish he had had better movies - his three were good but nothing special.

Roger Moore - just slightly better than Dalton - too campy. No lean, natural, athleticism to him at all.

Timothy Dalton - Could he be any stiffer? He couldn't seduce a street walker. He doesn't have the reluctant spy thing at all and he acts like he came from the estate neighborhoods where you were expected to attend schools like Cambridge and Oxford. There is nothing about him that says 'this man might be dangerous'.

George Lazenby - why do you think he only got one shot at the role?

Sean Connery - He's Sean Connery - what else needs to be said? TRUE

Daniel Craig - I was reluctant to like Craig in the role but the scene in CR where he is strapped to the chair and is being beaten with the knotted rope - there is something very authentically 'rebellious-kid-from-the streets' about it. Closing in on Sean Connery.

HAS 2/3TH OF A DECENT MOVIE BEHIND HIS NAME, TOO EARLY TO TELL IF HE IS ANY GOOD.

Pierce Brosnan - I wish he had had better movies - his three were good but nothing special.

HAS PROVEN HIS VALUE FOR THE FRANCHISE AND SHOULD HAVE HIS SWANSONG IN A 5TH MOVIE. FUN MOVIES

Roger Moore - just slightly better than Dalton - too campy. No lean, natural, athleticism to him at all.

THE SAINT OF ALL PERFORMERS, HIS MOVIES WERE EXCELLENT AND HAVE PROVEN THAT THEY ARE TIMELESS AND WORTHY OF DISCUSSION. IS STILL THE ONE PERFORMER THAT NEVER SAID ANYTHING NEGATIVE AND HAS ALWAYS SUPPORTED HIS FELLOW PERFORMERS. EASILY NR 2 FOR ME

PERHAPS THE LEAST SUITED PERSON FOR THE FRANCHISE, NEVER GOT HIS MOVIE DUE TO SCRIPT FOR ROGER MOORE IN THE FIRST AND COMPROMISE ON THE SECOND. FAILED TO WOO ME.

George Lazenby - why do you think he only got one shot at the role?

THE NUMPTIE WALKED AWAY FROM THE PART AFTER LEAVING US WITH ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE FRANCHISE.

Welcome to site where the insane get to spout their insanity and love about their favorite spy in all forms. :D

Without question - Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, George Lasenby, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan.

    Roger Moore - Easily first
    Pierce Brosnan - Easily second
    Sean Connery - Easily third
    Now it gets hard...
Timothy Dalton/Daniel Craig (Craig might overcome Dalton depending on SF).
George Lazenby - Still good, slightly after Dalton and Craig.

Yeah, I guess it serves to create the depth of the tunnel.

No, this isn't how it should be, this isn't right at all... It looks like the mayans, the film and the assassin's creed games were right. It's 2012, and now the world is slowly coming to an end. This is the 1st sign... God help us all...
  • I prefer Craig over Dalton. I think he's a better Bond and is more charming. Both are pretty serious and realistic, but Craig is a great Bond, Dalton was a good Bond.

You are gonna get my vote as the biggest Dalton fan.

I'm diggin' all this Craig love. Eat your heart out DCINB'ers! (and people from 2005-2006 who didn't think he'd be a good Bond)

Out of curiosity how do rank the Bond actors? I think our rankings are pretty similar.

I like Craig but when I see him run I get a strange sense of deja vu:

True though it did slip when he did Never Say Never Agian

Daniel Craig - I was reluctant to like Craig in the role but the scene in CR where he is strapped to the chair and is being beaten with the knotted rope - there is something very authentically 'rebellious-kid-from-the streets' about it. Closing in on Sean Connery.

He did only 1 decent film and that was Casino Roylae- Skyfall may underdo all the damage from the worst james bond film of all time: Qantum of Solace

Pierce Brosnan - I wish he had had better movies - his three were good but nothing special.

he did 4 films- Goldeneye was awesome, Tommorow Never Dies was fun, The World is Not Enough was good and Die Another day had a great 41 minutes before it shot itself in the foot. Brosnan should have gotten a 5th film and a decent send off...and Everything or Nothing should have been a film.

Roger Moore - just slightly better than Dalton - too campy. No lean, natural, athleticism to him at all.

The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, FEYO and Octopussy were great films..Roger is a great actor with good material- FYEO and OP was fantastic

Timothy Dalton - Could he be any stiffer? He couldn't seduce a street walker. He doesn't have the reluctant spy thing at all and he acts like he came from the estate neighborhoods where you were expected to attend schools like Cambridge and Oxford. There is nothing about him that says 'this man might be dangerous'.

i felt that he was a very good bond like Brosnan, sure he didnt have the charisma of Craig, Connery and Brosnan but he did have a serious side and he did have a more romantic down to earth approach- i really wish he did Property of a Lady/ Original Bond 17

George Lazenby - why do you think he only got one shot at the role?
yeah he was the worst bond

I did think Dalton did a good job as Bond. He was a refreshing face. I however do like Craig especially in his two Bond movies Quantom of Solace and Casino Royale. At least in Skyfall we have an idea of what to expect.

CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG CRAIG, is good but not that great. He is beaten by Moore, Brosnan/Connery, and the best Bond of all time, the ultimate badass, Dalton

DALTON DALTON DALTON DALTON DALTON. Not beaten by anyone
