The DC news is expected though after a few more box office duds they will probably play musical chairs again. What DC need to do is dump the Universe idea

Not keen on Hamm find him a bit bland, I would prefer Jake Gyllenhaal, Jake would offer far more complexity and depth to Bats

I like Hamm and I think he would be pretty damn good in the role, but he is too old. They're probably going to go with someone younger this time and try to get some mileage out him.

Gal Gadot (and maybe Margot Robbie) aside, I'd be perfectly happy with them completely rebuilding this DC thing from the ground up.

I'd be happy with Jon Hamm in the role. He'd be a near-perfect casting, especially when Matt Reeves' film will feature a Hitchcockian tone rather than Arkham run and gun.

Agreed. He's getting on a bit but could be really good.

Counting his smaller roles, Affleck will have been Batman in most movies.

@bondjames while I enjoy Affleck as Batman, I hope that once he leaves the role they can do the sequel to The Accountant in the near future.

I for one find a lot of the Batman animated films far more mature than half of the live action films we've gotten so far.

I really liked The Accountant too @DaltonCraig007. If they do a sequel, I'll be there on day one.

@bondjames the director of The Accountant seems to have a very interesting project coming up possibly in late 2018: Atlantic Wall. It will star Bradley Cooper as an American soldier trapped behind enemy lines in Normandy, 24 hours before D-Day.

Good to know @DaltonCraig007. I'm a fan of Bradley Cooper as well (surprised he hasn't been cast in some DC or Marvel flick yet), and the premise is interesting.

That article is so well written that it even makes me interested in Batman a bit, despite all those films making me very tired of him.

This is news to me that Elba could be a consideration for batman and to be honest it's just made up crap because people have nothing to talk about but bring up how good Elba is generally but why He can't or shouldn't be this character or that character for X, Y reasons.

Precisely. Just clickbait rubbish because a major role is about to be recast. Even though he had some arguments in there that are valid, it's really much ado about nothing because it's not even a point of discussion as far as I'm aware.
