Hmmmmm? Not a fan of the poster? Interested to see the trailer though!
Posters generally are average these days, they often don't influence me one way or the other.
For now, Shazam! is my favorite superhero film of the year.
In a quick sizzle reel of footage that had shots from the movie and glimpses behind the scenes, director Patty Jenkins said that Diana is now at the full capability of her powers. She’s no longer figuring them out or getting a grasp on what she can do. This is the full-fledged Wonder Woman in Washington DC in 1984. Don’t be surprised if we eventually see a Wonder Woman 1984 movie poster with the Washington Monument or something on it, so you know where the movie takes place.
Wonder Woman shows off her power by throwing a security guard through a hallway that appeared to be the White House. Why exactly she would be fighting in the house of the President of the United States of America is beyond us (unless it was set in modern times), but perhaps there’s some kind of threat she’s trying to dispatch with. This could easily be another official building in the capitol since a lot of the interiors look very similar.
Wonder Woman 1984 is meant to be its own standalone movie, not a sequel, even though Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) is inexplicably somehow back for this movie. A shot shows Steve and Diana walking in front of the Washington Monument.
But the real money shot came when they flashed sequences of footage that was also previously shown at San Diego Comic-Con. There was a quick fight sequence inside your standard 1980s shopping mall, complete with some incredible lasso action by Gal Gadot, and a badass shot of Diana sprinting as only a superhero can through a busy city street, assisted by wires since visual effects aren’t completed yet. Even so, you still get the right idea of Diana looking like a real superhero.
As we’ve discussed before, the aesthetic of this movie is unlike the more muted colors of the original Wonder Woman. The influence of Zack Snyder’s usual visual style has been abandoned for a more vibrant color palette, one worthy of the 1980s. Peter and Ben were certainly very pleased by what they saw, especially from the action on display. But the ’80s weren’t all bright, colorful, and fun. Surely Pedro Pascal‘s character will show us the darker side of that decade.

First footage detail for Birds of Prey:
The audience at CinemaCon was treated to quick footage of Birds of Prey that was bright, bold, and bursting with neon colors. The footage consisted of Harley Quinn roller skating behind a moving vehicle in an sequence that fit the film’s massive and impressive production design.

First footage/trailer details for Joker:
Before he showed the CinemaCon crowd the trailer, director Todd Phillips called the film “a tragedy.” According to Phillips, “There’s been a lot of chatter about what this film is and isn’t and a lot of it hasn’t been very accurate.” So just what is this Joker movie? Based on what the crowd saw, it’s a gritty ’70s-looking crime movie. Think Taxi Driver, but with the Joker. And the entire trailer is scored to Nat King Cole’s “Smile.”
“My mother always tells me to smile and put in a happy face,” Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck says at the start. “She told me I had a purpose – to bring laughter and joy to the world. Is it just me or is it getting crazier out there?”
The footage contains Phoenix’s Fleck dressed as a clown – more of a generic clown, not quite the Joker yet – working as a sign spinner for a company. Thugs jump him and steal his sign, and he chases after them into an alley. This turns out to be a mistake, as Arthur is promptly whacked in the face with his own signage. From here, the trailer descended into a series of quick shots: a crowd of people dressed like the Joker, fighting cops outside of a building. A patient squirming on a gurney in an elevator. Phoenix’s Arthur looking at himself in a mirror, sans makeup, stretching his smile out with his fingers. Arthur dancing in a living room with his mother (Frances Conroy). And just to remind you that this film is still set in Gotham City, there’s a shot of Arthur strolling towards a run-down looking Arkham Asylum.
“I used to think my life was a tragedy,” Arthur says, “but now I know it’s a comedy.” The pièce de résistance moment arrives at the very end, when Arthur, fully transformed into the Joker, gets into an elevator, the camera on his makeup covered face as the doors close.

where do I begin... this trailer (and this project) screams of Political motivated BS.. look I am going to lay all my cards down right now I hate when either the left or the right encroaches to much on entertainment... I also dislike how Bruce is a kid and interacts with The joker and how Thomas is … the whole thing just is awful... and the worst part...
this film will make a billion dollars and either be nominated and/or win best picture in 2020...
and before Doubleego comes in here calling me a DC fanboy I want this to fail I actively do but it won't...
It's amazing in 2015 I had such promise for the DCEU for the post Nolan films I was excited about Affleck about BVS Justice league etc...
Now I wish Disney would somehow buy Batman from DC it wont happen of course and I am just praying Matt Smith's The Batman winds up being even remotely good because this … this almost makes me wish for the days of Halle Berry's Catwoman because while that was entertainably bad this just looks like preachy bad.
This has potential to be something special!
Just imagine if he squares off against the new Batman, set in the 90’s! I wonder if that’s what they’re setting up....
I would have no trouble believing this. De Niro's character here is clearly intended as an homage to THE KING OF COMEDY. Perhaps they're flipping that scenario on its head.
I think they're different continuities that DC and WB are trying out.

1. SupermanThe Movie The granddaddy of them all. An epic that doesn't put a foot wrong. Direction, script, cast, music and production all spot on.
2. The Dark Knight Rises Not everyones cup of tea, but this is my favourite of Nolan's Bat trilogy.
3. Batman Tim Burton's gothic take on The Dark Knight kickstarted the superhero genre singlehanded.
4. Batman Begins The first film to really nail Batman
5. Superman II Almost as good as the first film. An incredible epic.
6. The Dark Knight Made superhero films credible.
7. Superman Returns Horribly underrated. The passenger plane rescue was and is one of the best set pieces in the superhero genre.
8. Wonder Woman Loses momentum in the climax, but for the most part a hugely enjoyable and heartfelt film. Gal Gadot is amazing.
9. The Dark Knight Returns parts 1 & 2 Brilliant animated adaptation of the influential novel.
10. Batman:Year One Another excellent animated adaptation.
Between Margot Robbie spearheading this film and the various set photos I’ve seen, I’m kinda concerned about this one.
