    So, question, then, regarding 'BvS':
What's the purpose of killing Superman off at the end of the movie if he's just going to be in this?

Think that may depend what he comes back as, possibly taken over by Darkseid?

I take it that's the creature they fight in the movie? I don't even recall what its name was.

Steppenwolf is a New God totally different character, in the comics Darkseid has used Superman before against the Justice League.

Wait...who is Steppenwolf? Was Darkseid in BvS? This is partly why I don't bother with these movies.

I shouldn't have to tell you that, but...

I understand I am a long time fan, BvS did not have a great deal if any exposition. Sorry was rushing to work, Doomsday is who they fight, Steppenwolf is the image Lex sees in the ship.

    Okay, WW doesn't look bad.

JL on the other hand, yikes. I was either snoring through it or cringing, especially in any scene with Barry and Bruce; such bad, bad chemistry and deliveries on both sides. I feel like this Ezra Miller is going to be the Jesse Eisenberg of this film, a guy trying too hard to impress and doing too much over acting and fidgeting. I really shouldn't be liking the solo films more than the big team films, but it makes sense that I'd like WW better because it's a better creative team and doesn't have Batman or Superman in it from what I can tell, so instantly better than JL. God, never thought I'd be saying that...

And the absence of Superman in any of the JL trailer has me concerned that they're just going to make him a tool of Darkseid, which is boring and so freaking infuriating. I wonder when we'll get to see this Superman do anything Superman would do, or be even 2% heroic? That set photo was the only time I've seen Cavill get the chance to smile in the role for three years now, and that's truly sad.

I'm going to stay behind at the station I'm at, and let the hype train go on without me.

    Wow Gadot is beautiful.

Is there any clue on when Affleck's first solo Batman film will be released? DC has 2 films in 2018 (The Flash and Aquaman), can they add solo Batffleck as well? The MCU is pulling off 3 films in 2017, so is it possible?

    Gal is a total babe.

Even if the film itself is a total PoS, I'm sold on her and I think she'll pull a lot of the female audience into the fold.

This is one area where the much maligned DC universe has an edge on Marvel possibly (Quinn/Robbie too). Marvel don't have a big ticket female star / character yet (Romanova/Widow notwithstanding....and I gather she will get a solo flick soon too).

I'm not sure DC have an edge as such over Marvel in this department. Brie Larson who'd been speculated for months to be cast as Captain Marvel was confirmed yesterday. Marvel are really bringing women to the forefront like never before and aren't just relying on Black Widow. With Captain Marvel, she'll be playing a huge role in the MCU, with a solo movie as well as the IW films; coupled with Thor 3's leading lady, Tessa Thompson, the female characters from Guardians 2 and yesterday's announcement of Lupita N'Yongo and the Walking dead's Danai Gurira for the Black Panther movie who have pivotal roles. These women aren't typical love interests like Betty Ross, Pepper Potts or Jane Foster who are to some degree quite forgettable.

I wasn't aware of these recent updates. That's a good sign.

Still, I think DC has the edge at the moment, since WW will launch first and I'm sure Robbie is going to make quite a splash as Quinn (she so owns those trailers that I'm almost not even interested in the Joker).

Robbie is definitely being marketed as the standout character and she looks to have done an incredible job. If the film delivers on what they said about her character then we're going to be in for something possibly iconic.

@doubleoego I was blown away by the badassery of the battles/fights in the trailer for 'Wonder Woman'. I was not expecting this level of epicness, even after seeing Gadot in BvS. What a proper beast of a woman! And yes, Robbie will be fantastic too, I'm sure. 10 days left until Suicide Squad, I really can't wait.

Gadot seems to have really settled and inhabited the role rather well from what I've seen. It's interesting how, it seems that it's women that will save the day for DC. Robbie has already cemented herself as a showstopper and Gadot, who already made a lasting and positive impression in Bvs will under the stewardship of Patty Jenkins is going to help catapult things further for DC.

The cinematography for WW looks bloody amazing btw. I love how the beautiful and vibrant colours work well with the gritty nature of the battles. This is what MoS should have been like, instead of all that muted stuff Snyder went for.

@doubleoego @bondjames if I may be honest, Jason Momoa is a f*cking BEAST as Aquaman. Wow, I've been hearing for years how Aquaman would never be taken seriously in a live-action film, but my oh my, what a god damn legend. He looks mental, one huge portion of badassery and epicness. Just the little bit of him in the 'Justice League' trailer, he nails it. He is going to own everything come November 2017.

Yeah, its all about the writing. When we have a hit film with a talking racoon then Aquaman should be a walk in the park but that can only happen when the vision and writing is on point and I think Aquaman is looking great so far.

I agree that Momoa nails it in the trailer. I'm still not sure whether they can make a success out of his solo effort, but then again if Marvel could make both Antman & Deadpool work, then it can be done.

I agree though, it's all about the writing.

James Wan is the director for solo Aquaman, isn't he? That could give a very good end result, Wan brings an edge to all his films. Really excited what he can get out of Momoa's Aquaman. Kevin Bacon in 'Death Sentence' gave an absolutely mental performance.

Gal Gadot and the action in Wonder Woman look absolutely stunning, but the really bad attempts at feminism are disgusting.

Re: The JL group shot: Shouldn´t Batman look as badass as Jason Momoa does in the pic?

@boldfinger, actually one of the things I enjoy about WW and what it's going to be is that it isn't pushing a feminist agenda. She's just a cool character, regardless of gender. Her home people are actually anti-feminist, as they hate men and blame them for the state of the world.

This Joker might be decent, but has anyone heard the reports on the set. I know Heath Ledger played it method, but this going to far! I'm sure this singer will do a good job, just like Harry Styles will do a good job in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk coming next year, but I feel like they should have done something different with the Joker. They're just trying to 'recapture the magic' by copying Ledger and changing the look.

I always thought of Ledger as a Grunge Joker. He's psychotic, but he's not theatrical like the others. This pop singer is doing a similar interpretation accept its more Punk than Grunge.
