The outrage police are here again.

I think the point many are making about the Marvel vs. DC CGI is one, Marvel actually use sets sometimes (ie. the whole film isn't a giant green screen), two, the CGI is used more effectively with the real elements of the sets in a way that doesn't make it look too much like a video game, and three, the CGI isn't murky or black as the bottom of a bog. You'd think the Justice League never fight when there's any light outside, and the effects scream at you that you're watching a film largely generated by a computer. The effects shouldn't be that obvious, and their use in action should be so compelling and impressive you lose yourself in the movie and don't realize you're in front of a movie.

So Snyder goes more for a 300 vibe rather than the comparatively realistic-looking Avengers style, I´m open for that. During BvS, I never had a feeling that any bad CGI takes me out of the experience. The visual style in that case made sense to me and in fact enhanced the experience for me by creating a rather surreal ambience. If JL does the same, I´m game, but as I mentioned earlier, the trailer doesn´t do much for me for other reasons.
I find the SM Homecoming trailer to be an example of annoying CGI. I don´t have such a feeling at any point during the JL trailer.

In a weird bit of news, Aaron Sorkin of all people talks about the upcoming meetings he'll be having at DC and Marvel, which could actually end with him scripting a project for one of them:

Big fan of Amber she was in Drive Angry and Machete Kills, JL and Aquaman could be big roles for her.

I hope she gets to fight in whatever the final battle will be. I'm hoping that shot of the Amazonians facing parademons isn't a quick scene depicting the takeover of their world and is actually the finale on Apokolips where Amazonians, Atlantians and the League take a boom tube to stop Steppenwolf at his front doorstep. Christ that'd be cool.

That would be awesome I am hoping the Darkseid story arc will be multiple films, some are suggesting that the battle sequences are
a defence of earth that happened hundreds/thousands of years ago, when the Amazonians and possibly the Atlantians fought off Darkseid's first attempt to conquer earth. Either way the long game with DC has great potential cinematically.

The fact at some point we will see Omega Beams is awesome.

I think the rumour is that sequence is the prologue to the film. I like your idea though. Justice League would end up being a war film then and I would dig that.

If that isn't the finale of the film, I'll be so disappointed, as anything else would seem boring in comparison. That's one of the worst things about showing content from the film like that in an early trailer; it gets people thinking things that aren't true, and then disappointment comes after the movie releases.

I think the one shot from the trailer where Batman, Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, Wonder (and Superman, but he's edited out) are looking off into the orange sunset is going to end up being the final image of the film, a sort of visual representation of "The League is united." It pretty well matches the image above too.

I hope that when Darkseid is finally revealed, we get to see a live-action recreation of Grant Morrison's "Darkseid Is" issue from his Justice League run. That'd be the perfect introduction to him as a villain and force of power over Apokolips.

Think I may print the image it's not bad at all.

Think you are spot on, if Green Lantern is in the film he could also be edited out of shots like Spiderman was in Civil War trailer.

Interesting. I'm really pleased that we're getting Batgirl in the DCEU, though I'd rather see this made into more of a Bat Family film than just a solo Batgirl film.

I just hope they stick to the original origin, also who is to say they won't do the Killing Joke arc down the line. I was just thinking who would be good casting to play Barbara?

They can just adapt the animated movie instead, so we can see Affleck have creepy rooftop sex with his best friend's daughter, half his age.

Bruce Timm's only mistake in making that film. Everything after the prologue is an excellent adaptation.

Totally agree I always fast forward the film, Hamill and Conroy are excellent.

Timm is one of my artistic heroes and his co-founding of the DCAU will never make him a forgotten face, but boy does he have a fetish for Bruce and Barbara knocking doors. They have sex in BTAS, and they're doing the same thing-but creepier-in The Killing Joke. I don't mind the creepiness as much in BTAS as I can just ignore it, but in TKJ it's unavoidable and serves as the entire central point of conflict in the damn first half. Yuck. Thank heavens Gordon never seems to find out!

If cut down for theatrical release we could have another hack job, if running time maintained will effect box office??
