Saw that trailer before TDKR, and was impressed. A very beautiful looking film, and the shots looked great as well as Cavill in the role.

That looks outstanding! That LOTR music fits very well- though I suspect they only used it because they don't have the real thing yet.
I have very high hopes for Man of Steel.
I will say this: With the fishing boat and hitchhiking that they stuck into a super short teaser- I do hope they aren't going to focus on Clark moping around and 'finding himself' too long....
I mean I totally appreciate the tone they are setting up but I think you guys know what I'm trying to say right?

Yeah I hear ya. I don't want a long origin story of him travelling round taking up half the film.

Do you know- I remember being so excited when I saw the trailer for Superman Returns years ago because it had the John Williams music and a new actor that really resembled Christopher Reeve. I had a nice nostalgic feeling. (the movie itself didn't turn out so well....)

Now I'm even more excited for Man of Steel because it looks vastly different! Funny how that is sometimes :P

    Can't wait for this one

Superman Returns had a great idea about it, and some great content dealing with how Superman is in a world that moved on without him. There was some odd fluff here and there, like Lex's plot and the fact that Superman doesn't throw a single punch to defend himself. Not very SUPER at all.

I was lucky enough to find the comic con trailer- LOTS more Superman, and you can actually see some of the quotes on IMDB. A couple flying shots of Supes fighting another man who I can only assume is Zod, saw Kevin Costner and Amy Adams- I can confirm Clark wears glasses eventually.

Managed to snap this pic before it was taken down- and interesting shot indeed

YES found another one! Enjoy before it gets taken away!!!

I'm dying to know what is happening around the one-minute mark. So blurry, but I can clearly hear the audience gasp and that one guy yells 'WHAAAAAT'

BTW In case anyone is wondering how he lost his undies:

    ;D

frankly i felt underwhelmed by those trailers and im put off getting sucked in. anyone else dying to see a video game?
@oo7, the leaked Comic Con trailer is infinitely better (you actually get to see Superman, go figure 8-| ) Hopefully you get to see that one before it gets yanked.
Why they didn't put that one before TDKR is beyond me...

That said, I like both trailers

It sounds like they're giving this film a heavy Nolan feel with the realistic aspect to it. I suppose this is because of a Nolan working on the script, though.

Interesting stuff. The trailer definitely conveys what Henry is saying. It looks like a beautiful film, both in script and visually. And an all star cast should help, including two Robin Hoods of great acclaim, and the lovely Ayelet Zurer from Munich. Great to see her getting work.

I really didn't know that Zurer was going to be in this, so it totally jumps up my interest level on the film, along with rewatching the trailer. I just hope it doesn't flop, for the sake of the story of Superman - I've never followed it closely, but it's always a shame to see a series try, try, and try again and fail - and the career of Cavill. He could do well in other films, so I hope it gets him noticed. 'Immortals' was entertaining.

There's the Superman curse to consider of course. But the curse hasn't met Christopher Nolan yet. /:)

That it hasn't, which makes me truly hope that this film will be one to watch out for in the future, as opposed to 'another Superman film' that everyone will merely dread.

Well, the other films weren't near perfect, so that may be why the curse idea caught on. I haven't seen the Reeve films for years, but some ideas they used were just dumb, even for a superhero film, and the Routh film focused too much on emotive storytelling and less on Superman fighting off anything tangible. He is the strongest man in the universe, yet doesn't throw a single punch. He gets nabbed with Kryptonite, then gets kicked by henchmen. I am never one to have action over story, but it does get dull for a superhero film after a while. Him saving the plane and Lex's girl from wrecking was cool, but can't hold the film in the spectacle department.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, and that's exactly what I would expect with a film involving Superman: his strength is unmatched, I want to see some incredible set pieces and action sequences when it comes to it. I, too, want story over action, but you have to give me more than that to really wow me. It's Superman, one of the only people you can really do scenes with like that.

That sums up my frustrations with Superman Returns. Batman could have beat Routh's Superman, AND without a steel suit or gadgets.
