when i've done pairings with myself and friends - i either go for similarities between the films.. or i pair opposites (which is also sometimes fun)... but my pairings would be..

Tomorrow Never Dies / The Spy Who Loved Me
    - both films involve a plot to pit two countries off against eachother for some sort of gain - whether philosophical, or financial..

    Moonraker / Die Another Day
    - both films represent a point of decadence in the series.. and a drastic change in writing and tone followed each film..

Casino Royale / Quantum Of Solace
    - a little too obvious?.. well, i don't care lol.. for me, i can't watch CR without soon after watching QOS, as it really is the 2nd half of the story..

@haserot: Those are good ones! I've always wanted to do a triple bill of You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Tomorrow Never Dies, since they're so alike in plot. And fun fact for you, they all end in a "7" (1967, 1977, 1997).

TLD/LTK. Can't go wrong with the 2 best films in the series.

    Also, GE/TWINE, GF/TB and OHMSS/FYEO.
