This is good to know @Mrcoggins. Thanks. I'm sure the subject of Bond will be brought up.

Tonight, at 20.35 CET on france 5, William Boyd will be one of the guest of "la grande Librairie", a litterary TV shows presenting new books. of course, he will be there to promote the french edition of "Solo". Let's hope the translators have done a better job this time around ("Carte Blanche" was a mess in that department).

BTW, SF has had its first airing on cable and satellite last night on the channel OCS Max. Further repeats to be expected.

Thanks. Damn, I missed it. It's always a pleasure to watch Octopussy, and now I don't have time to stick the DVD on...

Which means in early May, ITV are going to cut the hell out of LTK.

Sadly predictable...though I remember when they only showed it late at night.

I remember the time when there were years between Bond films being shown on ITV. For example, I recall Goldfinger being shown on ITV in 1994 and I did not see it on again until 1999! How times change!

QOS on ITV2 now! Just on Mathis death scene. Sad indeed.

I think I'll just stick the DVD on. ITV will take more bites out of it than Sanchez' shark!

Not even going to attempt to watch it. The more violent scenes are some of the best parts! Well, it looks like a DVD viewing...

Wonder why they're not carrying on with the Brosnan era?

    @Thunderfinger isn't ITV's controller is he? ;-)

Really? Oh, well....I suppose if they show QOS again, it would have been for the millionth time...

I was surprised that they cut quite a bit of TLD last Sunday. I dread to think what they are going to do to LTK...

Actually, goldeneye is on ITV next Friday 9th May at 10.35pm so presumably the following brosnan and Craig bonds will follow in a similar time slot. Seems ridiculous to finish a bond series with licence to kill, despite it being one of the best in the series!

The James Bond festival continues on France 4 :

    Sunday, may 11th, at 20.45 :

"Les Diamants sont Éternels" (DAF), followed by :

    "Goldfinger", at 22.40.

    And Sunday, may 18th, at 20.45 :

"L'Homme au Pistolet d'Or" (TMWTGG), followed by DAF at 22.45.
