yes... and even then, the British ones were kind of dull - but much better than the tripe we got here sacked with here in the states...
same goes for Devil May Care - when they first showed the cover art with the flower and the outline of the naked girl being the stem, i was like "Damn, thats a clever and cool cover!" - needless to say i was upset that was only the UK cover - and needless to say again, that i was even more upset with the cover we got here in US.... it was better than Carte Blanche's cover, but not by much...
i wish the publishers would hire some cover artists with actual talent............................................ hmmm................... maybe i should forward along my resume and work lol.

I like your design. Why do the pros get so wrong some times?!
i honestly do not know.... maybe it's all in what the author wants? - but if that were the case, why do we get 2, 3 or sometimes 4 different covers?... i believe it to be the publisher's call...... for a book - the cover doesn't need to be flashy and over the top like a movie poster - but it should be eye catching... DMC and CB were certainly not... if i had means to print out my own covers for the books, i would've done so already lol.
