I loved him in the new BSG. His character in this series was so good that
I was sad to see him die during the last season
. And now he's gone for good.

    And now another one :

    newsfromme.com/2017/02/07/professor-irwin-corey-r-p/

Never heard about him, but he sure seems to have been a very funny guy.

Alec McCowen, who did such a wonderful job as Q (Algernon) in NSNA, has died.

Sad to hear that, I quite like Algernon in NSNA. Made for a fun, witty ally of Bond's. RIP, Mr. McCowen.

He was a good actor and had been made a CBE for services to the performing arts
But mostly we will remember him for an exploding Pen !!!.....
RIP Alec no more gratuitous sex and violence for you then .

    RIP Tara Palmer Tomkinson!

Lady socialite over here in the UK! 45 is no age in today's terms. She was a Bond fan and as a younger lad I remember seeing photo's in the papers of her in a Honey Rider outfit at some party she was going too.

I remember she featured briefly in the "Best Ever Bond" 2002 ITV documentary.

A sad loss. IMHO the writing in Steptoe was some of the best ever seen on TV. Just superb character and when a sit-com tranforms into sad/pathos (as with Only Fools) , a sign of genuine drama.

For those who like manga, mangaka Jirō Taniguchi died last weekend. A true narrative master with a huge culture of Western - in the "occidental" sense of the word: he was, for imsance, a friend of Jean "Moebius" Giraud - comics, famous for his slow-paced stories, generally slice of life and mountaineering, he also was - and it's often forgotten - a legitimate master of noir-genre/thriller stories.

My dad listens to The Archers religiously so he'd probably know who she was.

Sorry to hear about your colleague @Thunderfinger.
