Yes, terrible tragedy in Spain. These types of rail disaster are sadly all too common. Condolences to the relatives and friends of the dead and best wishes for a full recovery to the injured.
And also RIP to a lovely, talented and memorable actress, Eileen Brennan. Most of you would probably remember her from the film Private Benjamin. She was 80.
I'm ashamed to say that I've not come across his work. Sad news in any event.
I am indeed sad to hear this. He is a voice many of us know instantly, yet maybe wouldn't be able to put a name to it. Batman The Animated Series is one of my favorite shows of all time, and he was one of the pinnacles of the program. His masterful take on Mr. Freeze, capturing everything from his pain, anger, depression and more added such depth and emotion to an already stellar and well-written character during his stints on the various Batman shows of the Animated DC Universe. No matter how many villains featured on the shows, no other baddie was as relatable as Fries, to the point where you stopped looking at him as a villain and simply as a man trying to help his wife. Time and time again, no matter how much he tried to save Nora, something went wrong, and even when he recovered she grew apart from him and left him for another. The character felt so much pain, and Ansara manifested all of it effortlessly with his powerful voice. Calling him a legend is an understatement. RIP, Michael.
Yes I remember her from the likes of Capricorn One and The Great Gatsby. RIP

I just heard about this. It is such a shame to hear just how much she went through, and how she did want to change her life path for the better near the end. RIP.
A bit young, but I hope she found her rest.
It is with sadness that I report the death by suicide of Lee Thompson Young.

This is such a shock. I have followed his work ever since I was a child when he was on the Disney Channel, and you would never think by looking at him that he was battling any kind of depression or anxiety. My thoughts are with his friends and family during this tough time.
I hope he does rest in peace.

Yes, very sad to hear of his death, too. I was just starting to collect some of his books, too.

It doesn't seem to be considered one of his best, but the Robert Mitchum & Jaclyn Smith thriller, Nightkill is a favourite of mine.
R.I.P
Ah yes, he directed the 2nd film in the Dirty Harry series - Magnum Force.
I really must collect those films on DVD!
Nothing more needs to be said, methinks.
Sad to hear of her death. A very great actress. I enjoyed her appearances in Columbo and Tales of the Unexpected very much indeed.
It's a sad day.
Simply put, his poetry and essays have touched my soul and will stay with me always. I really cherish some of his words. Thank you, Seamus.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
Great actor! RIP Charles!
