Merci, Roger.
Agreed. Although "concern" actually understates how I (and many) feel at the moment. "Fearful" might be a better description.
Very sad and very awful timing, for sure. No surprise to see some already confirming to push ahead with her replacement vote, mere weeks before an election. This country is completely depressing anymore.
Understatement is a valid linguistic tool. Even when it's used by the likes of me. And this, from Dune: "Fear is the mind killer." Be not afraid.
RBG's fervent, dying wish was that she not be replaced until a new President is installed. It's up to us to make sure that wish is fulfilled.
Watch Trump and McConnell mess this up. On another note, RIP Winston Groom, the author of Forrest Gump.
Edit: I decided to delete the rest of my post to prevent this thread from becoming too political (see below).

98 great achievement I remember when Jackie was on Celebrity Big Brother UK with Brigitte Nielsen. Jackie was quite a character. R.I.P.

While his career (which was cut short by injuries) as a bit before my time, he was among the greatest pure running backs that ever played in the NFL. And those of you that aren’t football (US) fans may remember his friendship with fellow teammate Brian Piccolo in the award-winning TV movie “Brian’s Song.”
The 1971 movie which starred Billy Dee Williams (as Sayers) and James Caan (as Piccolo) is one of the greatest TV movies of all time. It’s also a guaranteed tear-jerker (even now I’m tearing up a bit).
RIP Gale Sayers (A class Act).
R. I. P. Animal from the The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom. A tag team that never sold in a match, though very entertaining.
