Yes, he was indeed and questions were asked in Parliament at the time about "cake". That's where I knew him from too.

I was fortunate to see the gentleman twice in concert. A very funny man, and a great musician. He'll be missed.

He played the quick witted Central Perk boss Gunther in the long running comedy.
RIP.
IIRC, Joanna Cameron’s “The Secrets of Isis” was the first female superhero on US television, as it premiered in September 1975. “Woman Woman” – staring Lynda Carter – didn’t debut until April 1976.
Oddly, I remember her mostly for her various TV commercials in the 1970s and appearing in a 1971 B-movie called “B.S. I love You."

He was great in several films and tv shows. His most memorable role was maybe in Blue Velvet.
I loved him in Blue Velvet.
Him and Dennis Hopper was quite a pair.
One of my favorite performances of Hopper's, in a sea of many, many great takes.
"Pabst Blue Ribbon! That's what you'll drink tonight!"
I recently watched The American Friend and thought he was brilliant in that as well.
As Dennis Hopper's Frank would've put it "Here's to Ben/Dean"
