Confirmation Scott Hall’s life support was turned off.

Hall was a big part of the Monday Night Wars back in the 90's, a true wrestling legend. Hey Yo!

Hall's reaction to Sid's promo is priceless...

Hurt appeared in many great films R. I. P.

I'm kinda' shocked at this one. He was one of my favorite actors of the '80s and early '90s when he was everywhere and earning great reviews. He always added an interesting edge to whatever he was in.

My earliest memory of Hurt' s films was Body Heat, its one of the first Noir/Neo Noir thrillers I watched and contributed to me becoming a big fan of the genre.

    R.I.P William Hurt.
'Body Heat' was indeed a fantastic thriller.
Also loved him in 'Gorky Park' going up against the great Lee Marvin!

Yep those 2 films are the ones I’m most familiar with Hurt for. Both very good films too! Of course Barry’s score for Body Heat is sublime. I used to listen to it before I even saw the film.

I'm a big fan of Body Heat too. I actually saw that the first time at a drive-in theater as the second feature to Blade Runner of all things back in 1982 when it was released. It was The Big Chill that really made me take notice of him and seek out his other films like Altered States and Eyewitness.

I was very sad to learn of Lynda Baron’s passing last week. She was a permanent fixture of my childhood.

I came across this video on YouTube which I thought was very fitting!

Akira Takarada, star of the original Godzilla, has passed away at 87:

Without doing a full check, I think that Mr. Takarada was the last living (major) member of the original Godzilla film (“Gojira”) from 1954. His death marks - in many ways – the end of an era.

On a happier note, through his recent appearances at the annual G-FEST conventions in the US, he did live long enough to personally experience the great affection that we “G” fans have for these films and the people that make them. Those films were a big part of my childhood, and still bring me a lot of joy to this day. I can only say: “Thanks”, like many others are doing.

Of note to Bond fans, he also starred in a couple of James Bond parodies in the 1960s. One of them was even called “Ironfinger”/or “100 shot, 100 killed” from 1965.The actress in the orange bikini should be familiar to us.

Sad to hear of the passing of Peter Bowles, an actor of real class and style. An increasingly rare commodity in today's actors. Loved The Irish RM a series from the late eighties I believe

Sad to hear of the death of the actor Peter Bowles. He was a familiar face on British TV for many years. I knew him best from an early episode of Tales of the Unexpected called 'Neck'.

  • William Hurt's passing was a shock this week. Too young to go. I always enjoy him in everything he's in. A great actor with understated delivery.

Sven Melander , 74 , Berra in the classic scandi vacation comedy Selskapsresan , Berra was a great character :(

    Robban Söderberg: How are you?

Berra Ohlsson: Well, I was sober this morning, but now it's starting to get all right.

Berra Ohlsson: Do you want a little nip?

    Stig-Helmer Olsson: No, I can't stand alcohol.

Berra Ohlsson: [takes a sip of his vodka] Who the hell can?
