    Sven-Göran Erkisson has passed away.

In Britain probably best known for his time as the first non-British England manager.

In general though, his most notable era was his Italian one. He was succesful with Sampdoria and later my Lazio. He won Lazio's second and to this date final Scudetto, at that time the best football league on the planet. He also won the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Super Cup during his time in the capital. The most sucessful coach in the history of the biancocelesti.

    Grazie di tutto, Sven!

Sad loss R.I.P. Sven, I have a framed painting of Sven and the England squad from 2002 World Cup qualifying group amongst my football memorabilia, Sven will be remembered most by myself for the 5 - 1 away win against Germany, incredible performance by England.

    Musician Sérgio Mendes has died.

The music that he created with Brasil 66 was a major part of my childhood so this hits hard.
    RIP.

Damn, what a loss. He delivered a character so iconic simply through his voice, and that doesn't even touch on his other monumental cinematic achievements. RIP to a legend of his craft.

  • Legend. Will be much missed. His voice made Darth Vader.

RIP. I knew the day would come eventually of course, but you’re never really ready even when someone reaches a high age for them to go. He had an incredible voice, and brought a real presence to all his roles that I’ve seen him in. His legacy will live on forever!

RIP James Earl Jones. A legend in every way, his voice is instantly recognizable but his acting was just as impressive.
I had the pleasure of seeing James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury perform in the stage production of Driving Miss Daisy in 2013, and I was amazed at how great they both were. In their 80's at the time, yet there acting was perfection.
A sad day to the world of entertainment.

Just seen James Earl Jones in Google months ago and I thought he's living such a good life, and now can't believe and still in shock that he's gone, it's unexpected for me, like Sergio Mendes.

    Death is really unpredictable.

Just woke early hours here and saw the sad news, what an incredible legend James Earl Jones is, one of the most powerful and recognizable voices in cinema. James appeared in some of my all time favorite movies from Dr. Strangelove to Coming to America. and the two roles of Thulsa Doom and Darth Vader wow the greatest villains in cinema.

James Earl Jones gets lost in the field of dreams

    R.I.P.

14 years and 2 days ago, actor Glenn Shadix passed away. Having just watched Beetlejuice again, his character Otho remains my favorite person to watch in the movie, even though the whole cast is very entertaining. Shadix suffered some awful things in his life, like the cruel treatment from his parents for his sexuality and losing his dream house to a fire. The fact he died at just 58 is also depressing. Just want to give this man a shoutout, as I really enjoyed his performances that I’ve seen and I don’t see him brought up often.

Many people here have praised him for Darth Vader, but I think his voice in The Lion King is underrated, he'd really sold the role! Love him in there, I can't imagine anyone else voicing Mufasa.

He actually was a Bond alumni. He helped with James Bond Origin by Dynamite Comics. Yes, I'll miss him too, in more ways than one.
