Sad news way to young I recall some of his films from the 80's. I recently watched a few documentaries about his father in which Chad was prominent in.

Very rarely do films today capture the imagination like the Harryhausen classics, Kathryn Crosby added a lot of magic to The 7th Voyage of Sinbad in her larger than life diminutive role.

I recently watched a repeat of 'Parkinson' where she, poet John Betjeman and Kenneth Williams were interviewed! It was wonderfully entertaining!

I've just heard that Clive Everton has died! For fans of snooker, he had such a distinctive commentary voice. So sad, R.I.P.!

There's a character who never appeared in the movies that Dame Maggie Smith could have played : May, Bond's housekeeper. Now, I don't know if she could do a convincing Scottish accent, but...

Interesting character picks for Dame Maggie Smith, yes, she could've been interesting in those roles you all mentioned here, although I think Judi Dench was great in the role, but I can't also help but to see her there too, and yes, I agree with May @Gerard, she had the looks to play, I think given the many roles she had portrayed over the years, I think she could've nailed that Scottish accent, she's a versatile actress.....I wish that character would appear in later films, she's an interesting character, and yes, with Dame Maggie Smith passing, we've lost a potential great actress and a veteran to cast in a future Bond film, I could also see Dame Maggie Smith as a villain in an Irma Bunt like role (I mean in the same way of how Ilse Steppat played the character in the film with that wits and all), could it work?
