I know he has said that he regards Temple of Doom as Spielberg's best directed film, and I can't disagree with that. It's not his best film, but his craft in that one is absolutely at its peak.
Just heard about this, highly amusing.
Nazis again!
That's a good way of looking at it. Crusade's prologue does set up the relationship between Indy and his dad which pays off later on. By contrast with the first two, it's a film about family, which is of course a very Spielberg thing.
Possible spoilers, but a fun guessing game.
Lucasfilm is often praised (and criticized) for using special effects over story. Hopefully they will be able to blend the two in here. Yes, the set pieces look amazing. I am interested to see Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Indy Woman.
I feel confident it'll be pretty good. Luke Skywalker looked great, and it will have moved on from that in the intervening time. Plus it looks like a lot of those scenes will be in the dark :D
The only question is to whether any young Indy stand-ins (if that's how they do it) will be able to move like Ford: he's very distinct in his movements.
I've often felt there's a bit of Ford in the way Tim Dalton moves sometimes, does anyone know what I mean? The sort of legs-bent, chest forward, slightly unsure of himself movements.
I can see that. Thankfully, their movements made the characters look and seem more human. They’re both very natural styled actors.
John Williams says he has finished 30% of the soundtrack for the fifth instalment, which will star Harrison Ford. “I pretty much have the thematic scheme done. But we probably will be working on this into September,” Williams said.
@mtm just read your above observation and agree totally. They have a similar gait (edit: sp corrected!), and it pushes out their rear (and chest becomes a little barrel); and there’s an extra lower body wiggle, the faster they move, 😂.
I’ve always thought they moved similarly.
I would totally be happy to have John Williams score a Bond movie. At any age.
Indy is on the upcoming poster!
Really looking forward to that, and the title reveal.
I'm hopeful that we get both by the end of the year.

Bless you Harrison Ford.
