Close to Indy’s age in the Young Indiana Jones series in which Old Jones was 93.
That was great, thanks. I’m a big fan of Ford: he’s a proper movie star: just absorbing in everything he does. I feel like there’s a longer edit of that which deserves a release!
YES!!!! That clip was great. Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors. I love that he talked a little about the fun experiences he had on those films. Makes me want to go back and revisit some of the lesser talked about films he did.
It's been ages since I last watched FRANTIC for instance.
I need to see CALL OF THE WILD. I think it looks great.
Really looking forward to the new INDY film. Hopefully the turn over in director doesn't delay the process too long.
I was a huge fan of Frantic when I first saw it back in the late '80s. Thought it showed another side of him, which I don't think he gets enough credit for as he's often overshadowed by his action hero roles. I love the line "I am an American and I am crazy!"
He's kind of like Cruise in that he can do the action hero and the regular guy dealing with extraordinary things, although Cruise doesn't do that much anymore.
Another interesting Ford performance that hardly ever gets mentioned is The Mosquito Coast, which got roasted by critics and flopped at the box office but was an interesting film nonetheless. The Frisco Kid is another fun film that hardly gets play. I saw that the year Empire Strikes Back came out and it was another nice discovery.
Maybe his cranky nature has turned some people off of Ford, but now I kinda' want to rediscover some of these films too.
Not surprised. As much as I'd love to see a new Indiana Jones film, maybe the plug should be pulled on this project now?
+1, Harrison Ford will 80 years old with that release date! Turn the screenplay into a book, with the documentation of the journey this project has had!
Not funny. ;-)
My goodness. What was the original date?
I think they're definitely comparable in that they're perhaps the biggest properly huge movies stars still working, and when you see them onscreen they definitely just have another level to their presence. I caught Force Awakens on telly over the weekend and Ford is just brilliant in it.
Totally agree on Frantic too: he's perfect in it. Possibly my favourite of his "My wife!!" roles :D

Omfg, so it is true then. They should stop making this movie all together.
This guy!
At this point though, I'm starting to really doubt this will actually happen. I'm feeling George Hamilton will see his sequel to LOVE AT FIRST BITE produced before we get INDY 5.
Does he look like a prime-era Indy? Absolutely not. But boy does he look great for someone nearing 80. A quick reminder: he is now older than Clint Eastwood in ''Gran Torino''.
I think even Tom Cruise is envious.

I don't really care if the movie comes out or not, but if it does I would like Ford to return as Indy, but use it as a flashback and have a younger actor play Indy.
Honestly the last film should be locating the garden of eden they do that it’s a perfect end to the franchise
