    ...but given the success of those games, the similarity between the two properties, and the part in which the games have played in the modern public consciousness, I just wouldn't be surprised. Not that it'd be obvious, and to be honest, I only thought this because of the use of a castle in Scotland which reminds me of Uncharted 4.
    On the subject of Uncharted, I'm looking forward to that film but the casting does worry me a bit. I was thinking that Bruce Willis would've made a good Sully: not exactly like the game version but I could have seen him working.
    Yeah, for me, I was kind of on board with Holland, like I wasn't mad, even if I do think it might just be a Spider-Man/Cherry/Chaos Walking clone in an Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider coating, but my concerns rose even higher by the casting of Wahlberg in particular. It's not even the fact it wasn't an obvious choice for the role, more because Wahlberg (in my mind - we'll see) is just so wrong for it. And they seem to not even be giving him the moustache... which just seems... wrong haha :D
    But we'll see, I'm still somewhat interested to see what we'll be delivered.

    Yes I'm the same- I can kind of deal with Holland as a young version of Drake (although to me the point of Drake was that he was in that sweet spot between being slightly hotheaded and having a bit of experience) but Wahlberg gives no Sully vibes at all; and he's generally not all that great an actor either. He's certainly not the 'charismatic character actor co-star' which the role asks for. When Indy needed that role filling they got Sean Connery...

    So Bamburgh Castle is closed starting today, but that doesn't necessarily mean filming will begin today. A guy on twitter: "Have to collect a film crew from london on sunday" and "I am 1 of 7 coaches going down on Saturday to collect them on Sunday and bring back to newcastle . 3 days they will also film in bamburgh"

    So it seems like they are finishing the sets at the castle this weekend and then filming there will begin at the beginning of next week. OR there will be several units filming at the castle, one of them starting today and the other one early next week.

    I'm sure you're right, they're probably having to finish off sets which need it closed or something. Apparently films usually start on a Monday.

    Yes, the art department will be doing final set-dressing etc. and they are likely prepping any pre-lighting etc. as well.

    Wonderful! I have a very good feeling about this. Btw, according to Moors Railway's website "there will be no services from 4 to 7 June and services will resume on Tuesday 8 June." So filming at the railway this weekend, then at the castle next week?

    Nice research! Sounds likely: I guess there's less set-up to do on a railway?

    And check this out, from the sound of this Twitter exchange it sounds like Drew Struzan might even be tempted to come out of retirement to make one last awesome Indy poster!

    Wondering whether the Nazi train might be a scene in which Americans swoop in the get the scientist who winds up working for the US space program. If so, it need not have Indy in that scene, but how long would they go with a non-Indy action scene, even a setup for later plot developments ? To have Indy in it, they'd have the opportunity for him to remark again how he "hates these guys", but they'd have to de-age H Ford. One might think another actor could play the part, like when River Phoenix played young Indy at the start of IJATLC, EXECPT they'd not be going THAT far back in Indy's life. They'd be going back to his age, roughly, in the earlier films. Sooooo -- maybe handle it rather like the beginning of ROTLA ? At the start of Raiders, Indy was seen but not his face. When his countenance was revealed, it was a nice payoff moment. Could do that here, with de-aging. If so, I sure hope the software has improved dramatically very recently, especially if it would be for another "payoff" moment, possibly a close-up. (Reminds me of the scene in Tootsie, when the director and others in the TV show produced in NYC realize the close-up is not working out well and the director quickly calls for them to "Back up ! Back up !" The assistant or the photographer then utters a line something like, "How far ? Cleveland ?")

    I considered that Indy may not be in this sequence, but Ford is on set.A PTS that shows Indiana Jones, in his prime, battling Nazis would be too cool.

    Bring back Sallah, to give the film some continuity. And because John Rhys-Davies is always a joy to watch. It would make sense as he'd then be in every other film in the series.
    Might be too much to ask for.

    I saw John once, which was fun. I'd just come out of a movie theater in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, probably around 1998 or so, walked past a shop, and John was there with a woman friend, both of them looking in the shop window. You couldn't mistake him, as I saw his face, and because of his build. I didn't disturb him but walked past. That said, I don't know if I look forward to another Indy film. The first three were great, but I think Harrison's getting too old for the character. Unless the story is really good and fits his age. So I'm skeptical but I keep an open mind.

    In terms of actually being the lead, I can’t think of much older unless you count Gran Torino or Harry Brown maybe, but they weren’t really on the level of an Indy action-wise.
