Jim Page and I opened similar threads at pretty much the same time, but this is inclined to go beyond premiere dates, so I think, its ok to keep both. If not - mods go ahead ;)

Where did you hear that the premiere in US is in NY?

@Germanlady - The medicinema screening is actually the 24th at BAFTA. Anyone planning on going? I'm still debating but £300pp seems at bit steep given no one associated with the film will be there.

We stopped by at the Cineworld cinema, Broad Street, Birmingham to ask about the regional charity premiere for Skyfall. They are having one but couldn't name the charity, and we were told that the event won't be offered to "the general public" like us as they want to offer tickets to local celebrities. They said that they will be giving a large number of tickets to local radio stations (Heart FM and Galaxy) to give away as prizes and it it expected that the local Aston Martin Owners Club will be allocated some tickets as well. Apparently a local hospice turned the chance down to host the premiere as they didn't see enough return when they hosted Quantum of Solace.
After 15 years of attending Bond premieres in one form or another. we won't be going to the regional premiere this year as being members of "the general public", we can't be bothered trying to prove our worthiness and will probably go to see Skyfall during the following weekend somewhere else
Incidentally, the only celebrities that I recognised at the last premiere were Noddy Holder from 70's glam rock band Slade, somebody of Radio WM and some Aston Villa players.

I don't believe those of us in the United States have much to flaunt as of yet. I've been checking almost daily for advanced midnight premiere tickets, with no such luck.
