Skyfall Tickets On Sale - Who's Booked Already?

edited September 2012 in Skyfall Posts: 233
Advance tickets for Skyfall in the UK went on sale today, who else managed to grab some? I got some great seats for Saturday 27th at the BFI IMAX, although that means I have to wait an extra day to see it. I tried for the opening day but by the time I was home all the decent seats were gone. How about you guys?

I keep checking my local theater back home (not on campus) to see when the advanced tickets will be available. I plan on seeing it twice that opening weekend, and then the weekend/weeks after, because my Thanksgiving Break starts then.

I also have a friend up here who works at the theater about 25 minutes from campus, and he said he can get me in and see the film for free the day before, which would be incredible. But, I think I want my first time to be at the Alamo, so I may have a drink or two while I watch it. The theaters close to campus are really trashy.
  • What a result!! Just bought the last decent seat for the 2.30pm showing on Sat 27TH Oct at BFI IMAX in London. Tried to get tickets for the 9pm showing on the Friday but all sold out.....It doesn't matter though- I've waited this long so one more day is not going to matter- and I get to experience it in IMAX....I probably could have got tickets for the Friday at my local Odeon but Central London is only 40 mins away and I want to watch it properly, in IMAX the first time I see it so I'm happy to wait an extra day for that experience. So I've got to go on my own and take my girlfriend sometime the following week LoL!!!! What a touch!!!
  • I'm booked for 26th at BFI IMAX 15.00 screening. I did want to go to Leicester SQ but my favourite seat was already booked!!

I know I should stop looking for midnight release screening tickets for SF here in the US until October hits, but I can't help it. I know if I stop now, they'll somehow release early, and I'll get screwed out of having a place in the theater that night.

^ I'm too looking for tickets here in the US to be announce at my local Imax, but I'll probably go to an evening screening rather than at midnight. I just can't stay up that late considering I have to work in the next morning. :(

I booked the day off months ago and have reserved for the 16.30 showing at the Vue cinema in Leeds on Friday 26th October. I also plan to see it the following Saturday when I go back to my home City to see my parents and take my Dad to see it as a Birthday treat, a bit of a tradition I've pretty much been to see all of them with him since SWLM with the exception of OP, GE & DAD.

Also I heard today that my work have been offered a free showing on Tuesday 30th in the evening courtesy of Heineken UK.

I'm trying to get my friends to see it with me. I plan to book it on friday, for the 27th of October. I hope I'm in time. Worryingly a friend of mine said he was not interested in seeing Skyfall, because, as he put it, "they mucked up on the last one". I wonder if people are going to be put off by QoS "failings"?

I think your friend will be in the minority to be honest. 4 years is a long time and i reckon people will be hungry for a new 007 adventure!
