Classic Bond Theme in Skyfall Action Sequence?

Does anyone think the classic bond theme should be back in it's action sequences. Casino Royale, nor Quantum of Solace had the bond theme properly in any action sequence. I really miss the Pierce Brosnan era. Does anyone else want it to return within the action.

  • It would be great to hear it swell up again when Bond does something truely Bondian, like DA always knew to pick the perfect moment to let it rip :)

Yeah. This is what i want. But it should be there, it is a obnd film, and thats what makes it more exciting to other action films. The bond music always adds to the action.

True, very true! One of the reasons I love the Brosnan films so much is because they played the theme at just the right moment, making for some very memorable scenes! (scenes that might have even been less memorable without the music)

Arnold's best Bond-ish work comes from tomorrow never dies:

From 1:14 - 2:38. You can say a lót, but breaking into an office has never sounded cooler.

This, is one of the best renditions ever. Makes me wanna roll under a closing gate and jump in my BMW like nothing happened.
Combined with the latter's V8 accelerating makes for one of the best sounds of the movie.

In fact you have. I don't care how cheesy it is, I want to hear the Bond-theme or at least a part of it blasting through the cinema when Bond and M take a spin in the DB5, or when he jumps from the crane adjusting his cuffs.

I really like this one too, DA had his moments.

No worries now, you seem to have got the point ;)

I would love to have the 007 theme again, but I think it'll be hard to find a scene for it these days (it's quite special, wouldn't want the scene to appear comic). But one can hope..

I hope the classic Bond theme will be in SF, with the 50 year connection it would be more than appropriate, not sure about the 007 theme though, I never did like it even in the 60's films and it felt so out of place in the MR boat chase. I suppose an updated version could be interesting, though if they go down that route I would think it's only fair to also include an updated Bond'77 theme, surely one of the most underrated Bond chase themes of all time!

I have a soft spot for Bond 77 as it was one of my first tastes of Bond, listening to my Dad's vinyl copy of SWLM. Strangely enough I was putting a mix set of Bond themes and score track together using my Bond vinyl collection recently and listening to B77 I did still enjoy it but it has dated like say OHMSS certainly hasn't (that's the 70's for you).

As someone who understood the holding back of the theme in CR although could have maybe got more of a tease of it in QOS before the credits, I certainly want a big full on Bond theme in SF, preferably in the PTS and then sparingly throughout the film, of course I also want it with the gunbarrel back where it belongs at the very beginning and I think we'll get it.
  • My most worry is that the gun barrel return. I would rather have the gun barrel back at the begining, rather than the bond theme on the action, but i would love both. :)

If it's Bond with a capital B like they promised, we should get both.
