Dude. I am Dutch. I am from a country that ruled the waves before Brittannia did. And 'international' does NOT mean 'rest of the world, except US'. Really, I haven't heard such a load of bull in years :-).
Err well in terms of Hollywood cinema, which includes Bond, it does. I mentioned I was Brit because I didn't want people jumping down my throat thinking I was some stuck up American. Don't patronise me, the Brits would turn your arseholes inside out and slap you sideways.
Britain!!! F*ck yeah! \m/
I think the Avengers took most people by surprise
Will that be the same Box Office Mojo that predicted that Skyfall would not make as much money as QoS a few weeks ago?
Every now and then, a tough discussion between Brits and the Dutch really make my day ;-). By the way...slapping me sideways :-P?
When was this? As far as i know Box office mojo has always predicted at least a 10 percent increase in Skyfall US box office potential mainly due to inflation and a 4 year gap between films.
That's more money, not less.
More money: Yes. With inflation adjustment: Certainly not.
RIDAY 11 AM UPDATE: “We are off to an amazing start,” Sony tells me as Skyfall begins its roll out in North America. It did $2.2 million in Thursday previews that were exclusive to 463 IMAX and Premium Large Format theaters. And beginning with midnight shows that started today, it did $2.4 million for a combined total of $4.6 million. Already, my sources say early matinees are “through the roof”, including exceptional performance from IMAX theaters that are now running with their regular schedule. Stay tuned right here for my continuous updates today and all weekend with domestic box office numbers.
$168 million from 2008 with inflation adjustment equals $180 million in today's money.
$185 million is still more.
I wasn't talking about that prediction, I was referring to something it said before that. But to be fair it did say 'might'...

"Skyfall (Nov. 9): The first two Daniel Craig James Bond movies are the highest-grossing ones ever with $167.4 million and $168.4 million, respectively… This might not reach the same levels as Craig's other entries, but it is still guaranteed to be a late year hit."
$ 4,600,000 --> IMAX and other screens on Thursday Nov. 8th (confirmed)
$30,800,000 --> Friday Nov. 9th (confirmed)
$36,700,000 --> Saturday Nov. 10th (my prediction)
$25,500,000 --> Sunday Nov. 11th (my prediction)
$93,000,000 --> Opening weekend 'Skyfall' (my prediction)
$97,600,000 --> US gross 'Skyfall' since Thursday (my prediction)
If I'm right, but even if 'Skyfall' ends in the very high $80 million opening weekend, then 'Skyfall' is still on its way to catch the $900 million worldwide gross.
If the trends are right, then 'Skyfall' will pass all previous individual worldwide grosses for each individual Bond film, including 'Die Another Day', excluding 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum Of Solace'. The worldwide gross for 'Die Another Day' was $431,971,116
RC7, are you ready yet to live in cloud cuckoo land?
Gustav, you must be congratulated for making this thread and your prediction that looks more likely to happen now than not.
Pierce Brosnan's movies had a profit of: 2,043,751,904, inflation adjusted.
So, counting Skyfall's box office until now ( 518 million dollars) with the other two Craig Bond movies, according to my calculations ( which may be wrong, I never was very good at maths):
Craig's movies have grossed a total of 2,654,443,720 billion dollars.
That means that Craig is already the third most successful Bond, in terms of profit, behind Connery and Moore.
Imagine if the next two Craig movies are as successfull as his previous ones. He might overtake Moore in terms of profit!
Like I've said, my maths is terrible. I might be wrong.
