    A Russian villain.

Given that Bond films are topical and Russia has been in the news a lot recently, it could happen.

Stellan Skarsgård to be either a villain or Kerim Bey type ally.

I have not read Scorpius, but know that John Gardner used a religious psycho as villain there, so why not in a film? It would of course have to be a "Do-as-your-god-commands-instead-of-what-is-right" type of religion.
  • How about they end Bond 24 with a cliffhanger ending, with a brain-washed Bond about to kill M?

I do love Stellan S. and Christoph W. Both would be excellent in a Bond film, and I do hope that happens soon (24 or 25).

I really do want a gorgeous snow scene - could be any number of things happening, not necessarily skiing, that lasts long enough to really enjoy. One of the things I loved about Inception was the entire assault in the snow.

That was an element from the books that you'd think would have been a no brainer for film. I would like to see The Blofeld trilogy, followed by TMWTGG, redone with a strong adherence to the books. The scene you describe above only holds the impact I'd like it to hold if we take the long journey to get there. At that point Bond had been repeatedly tortured and wounded, his wife had been slain, he had been getting psychologically more strained and more conflicted with each book, and then he is hit in the head by shrapnel, plummets from a great height into the sea and loses his memory.

A Bond movie with a cliffhanger ending is a great way to keep loyal fans tuning in while also bringing in new ones due to the many possibilities this would offer for a plot. DC has probably been the most-involved actor to play Bond and care about what the audience might think. I hope he stays on board as a consultant, co-writer, or co-producer. Perhaps he can even direct a film later on.
  • Daniel Craig has signed on for Bond 24 and 25. If he stays for Bond 26 we could have a trilogy--three films loosely connected, i.e the Dark Knight trilogy. If that happened and if the three films were of the same quality as CR and Skyfall, they could potentially be the magnum opus of the Bond franchise.

I do have a problem with a straight cliffhanger, though. Each Bond film need sot stand alone. I would like to see the immediate mission resolved in the first one, but a larger, over-arching threat still out there for the follow up.

That sounds great. In a perfect world the entire cast would be lined-up for Bond 24 and 25 and they could be filmed concurrently. Risico Part I could be released in the fall of 2015 and Risico Part II could be released in the fall of 2017.

  • It could be something like:

    Risico: Property of a Lady
    Risico: 007 in New York

There was this kind of treatment in the 60's Bond films though. As a tribute to SC, it may be more respectful to allow those films to stay in tact instead of Michael Bay-ing them to make modern imitations with computer effects. We already have the talent of Gasner's sets to take us back somewhat to the 60's.
  • It seems like they're not going to waste the copyrights to owning Blofeld this time. I'm not sure about everyone else here but I'd rather have the producers remake the previous films to reflect Fleming's books more than to continue with Mendes' idea that the current movies should act as sequels to the first 20 before CR.

:)) The plot could center around someone stealing his recipe.

That's it, and Bond must retrieve it before it's posted on Youtube.

Could that be the theme that is carried over from SF? :(

I'd much rather have two separate titles, even with the films linked. That Part 1 and 2 is kind of tacky.

Totally agree. And why should it be named Risico, anyway?

Because it would be a great title.

The last time I watched TB I made a note of the Bond girls:

    French-Asian chick in the PTS
    Pat
    Fiona
    Domino
    Paula

Now, it's easy to believe that Bond slept with all of them if not most if them; at leasts the film suggests that's the case maybe with the exception of Paula but it's hard to believe Connery-Bond didn't sleep with her as if I remember they shared a hotel suite and the simple fact that she's a sexually attractive woman. Connery would have found the time. Anyway, the point is, I really want Craig to have his 'lady's man' moment/film. I really want to see Craig having some fun with the ladies. Vesper's scarred him for life and Mother M is out of the picture. Let the man cut loose and give him some tail. I want to see Bond actively pursue a woman simply because he can and feels like it or to flirt around a bit (without things getting silly of course). I want promiscuous Bond. I want sex. I want danger and nothing half cocked.
  • Craig needs to have a happy ending. There's only so long they drag out this bittersweet ending with a developing, moody Bond business. Don't get me wrong, Casino Royale and Skyfall were both excellent and Quantum of Solace wasn't half-bad, but Craig deserves an over the top Bond blockbuster.

The lack of a central character dying would also go a long way to helping this, in my opinion.

Somebody can die. Quarrel died in Dr. No, Kerim Bey died in From Russia With Love, Jill died in Goldfinger, and so on. But they definitely can't keep going back to the well of somebody's death messing up Bond and dominating the movie.

Well, that didn't happen in Skyfall thankfully but the deaths of Vesper, Mathis and M did seem to be played up more than many others of the past.

How about nobody dies in B24. That would be original.

    - Rupert Penry Jones as Bond
    - Jessica Chastain as the Bond Girl (a long shot, maybe, but this is a wish list)
    - Ken Stott as M
    - Natalie Dormer as Miss Moneypenny
    - Sylvester McCoy as Q
    - Robert Glennister as Sir Frederick Gray
    - Minimal MI6 scenes (and no agent Moneypenny)
    - Title Track performed by Caro Emerald
    - Opening gun barrel
    - The James Bond theme used, when needed

Why should there be a cast change?

Yeah, but I'm curios about why he's suggesting a cast change - I wasn't criticizing at all.

It is, but I think it implies something you could at least plausibly see in Bond 24. Natalie Dormer as a Bond girl, why not, it could happen. But as Moneypenny? Certainly not for Bond 24.
