I think people have said this before as well, but the scene where Moore says "Here, let me help you" to a struggling Tibbett, and takes just the umbrella. I laughed unexpectedly hard at that one.

I pointed that out the last time I watched AVTAK, I had never caught it until then. Tibbett's exasperated, tired "Oh, thank you, sir!" makes it even better.

Stacey "helps" Bond out later - after Bond knocks the explosive carrying lorry driver out, Bond asked Stacey to give him a hand, so she picks up the driver's helmet.

I think I laughed a bit the first time I saw the FYEO chase. Moore's getting wrecked in his little Citroen 2CV, and when the baddies come up next to him, they exchange brief glances before Moore gets around to his usual mannerisms. That classic Moore nod was a bit surprising the first time I watched it and it gave me a giggle.

It's great in TSWLM and FYEO but in AVTAK it's embarrassingly tired schtick.

"Do me a favour, throw that down the toilet. Cut out the middle man." Is probably the hardest I have laughed at a Bond film in a long time. Craig has great comedic timing there.

The whole Moore-Macnee interaction in AVTAK is absolutely brilliant.

    "Come along, Tibbett. Stop wheezing."

    "Oh, that's Mr Goldfinger's room!"

    "Yes, I know!"

    Gets me everytime.

Holly Kisses Bond, and then Bond asks her..

    "What was that for?"

    "For saving my life."

"Remind me to do that more often."

That gets me every time. And it's actually recycled from a Season 2 Saint episode.

Its not the line itself, but the execution of it by Craig in the moment.

    Now, that you mentioned TMWTGG...

    PHU-YUCK!

Surely? It's an Austin Powers joke to the core.

Tatiana walking upto and then standing behind Bond who's sat down in a chair after the death of Klebb and then takes the gun from her when he realises she's holding it a bit too close for comfort.

So many lines from Moore in TSWLM.

GIRL: "Oh James, I cannot find the words"
BOND: "Let me try and enlarge your vocabulary."
GIRL: "What happened? Where are you going?"
    BOND: "Sorry. Something came up."
GIRL: "But, James, I need you."
    BOND: "So does England."

Or when the henchman motor rider falls from the cliffs after crashing into a truck filled with pillows: "All those feathers and he still can't fly."

Best is, Moore never makes it sound cheap, a quality that is very much underrated.

In the Connery movies I very much enjoy his encounters with M.

In FRWL, when Bond enters Moneypenny's office, flinging his hat on the rack: "And for my next miracle I ..." until he sees M is also there and is not looking all that amused. Especially Connery's expression and the way in which he then closes the door, makes me laugh.

I think Licence has some of the funniest bits of the series. Aside from the aforementioned "Launder it", there's Q in his ridiculous disguise, throwing his gadget (a rake-radio) into the bushes. It's so nonchalant--even the quick cut away from the scene helps it.

But my favorite comedic scene in that movie is where Krest tries to explain to Sanchez what happened to the money he owes him, and Sanchez is totally incredulous. "So this guy water-skis behind the plane....?" It's a wonderful meta joke that I'm surprised had never been done in Bond before. A bad guy having to explain the incredibly unrealistic cause for his failure. :-D

    Other favorites:

M and the Chief of Staff in their gas masks, along with Drax's faux bewildered reaction in Moonraker.

Blofeld's line to Bond in Spectre: "I've really put you through it, haven't I?"

In Thunderball, when M takes offense at Moneypenny calling him "the old man", and Bond just mutters "I think I had a hat when I came in" and tries to get away from the scene.
  • Moore was the one Bond who could sell cheap humour without making it seem cheap. That's an underrated skill.

That being said, most of the Bonds gave me some sort of laugh. Lazenby was the only one who didn't, and Dalton only gave me one or two.
