DB5 in Skyfall

Sorry if this has come up a few times here already, but I don't get why the DB5 was kitted out in Skyfall. I've had a quick look around the web and it appears that most fans don't seem to be that bothered about this. Bond claims that it is his private car to M, so did he run it down to Spies R Us in his spare to to have some guns and an ejector seat fitted? I'm not sold to be honest, it doesn't feel like it has much continuity with CR and QoS.

Also (don't hate me), I feel that the end scenes at Skyfall could have been written better. It all felt like a bit of a jumped up Home Alone movie. You guys give up or you thirsty for more?

Thanks. I'm still not sold having read the link, but ho hum! I just think for such a big blockbuster, a bit of extra thought wouldn't have gone a miss. Still good to see it back though.

In my opinion, it was more of a nice little wink to the audience as it was the 50th anniversary. I don't think it really matters whether it's been rebooted or not. It was meant as nothing more than a homage.
