An earlier subject got me to thinking. Which Bond movie could be watched on various holidays?
Like to hear your opinions and choices. Here's my list

NEW YEARS DAY TLD
Presidents Day GE
EASTER TB
MEMORIAL DAY GF
4th of JULY OP
LABOR DAY CR
HALLOWEEN LALD
THANKSGIVING LTK
XMAS OHMSS

Feel free to elaborate or have more than one film for each holiday.

Comments

  • Halloween = LALD totally agree. As well as OHMSS for Xmas (I always watch this Xmas Eve)

For Easter, I would suggest Octopussy, only for a certain priceless egg!!

    For holidays of my country?
    Then (as in Lithuania):
New Year (01-01) – Casino Royale
Day of Re-establishment of the State of Lithuania (02-16) – From Russia with Love
Day of Restitution of Independence of Lithuania (03-11) – GoldenEye
    Easter – The Living Daylights
International Labor Day (05-01) – Live and Let Die
    Mother's Day (05-0X) – Quantum of Solace
    Father's Day (06-0X) – Skyfall
Day of Dew (06-24) – Dr. No
Statehood (coronation of the first king of Lithuania, Mindaugas,) Day (07-06) – Thunderball
Assumption Day (08-15) – The Spy Who Loved Me
All Saints' Day (today, 11-01) – Die Another Day
    Christmas eve (12-24) – OHMSS
Christmas (12-25/26) – Casino Royale, second time.

    P. S. I HATE Halloween, as gaining popularity as impact of American culture, ruins OUR, LITHUANIAN costume festival Užgavėnės, in the end of winter.

Yeah... I live in Latvia and it's the same thing here. Halloween has sort of ruined another Latvian tradition similar to it.

Just curious, but why is the American version of Halloween having such an impact in your countries?

Because of people with complex: "we will look like Russians/Asians/any poor country if we don't do like Americans.

However, I feel and do not like Americans, but like Lithuanians. Lithuania is in Europe.
