Some guys at my workplace did so. It was funny seeing them in mustaches after having beards all year long.

I work at a garage and all 4 of us are doing it.

I now look like a black, bald version of Burton Reynolds.

Can a Brit explain this to a Yank? My college is doing something like this I think, but I am not yet clear on it.

I wanted to try and do a Samuel Jackson in pulp fiction but I've been shaving my hair for so long I think it's actually stopped growing back, and I thought the moustache without the hair wouldn't look as good.

Basically you grow a moustache for November to raise money and awareness to help combat prostate and testicular cancer.

I did it last year too, it's actually pretty fun and there are parties at the end, the website I posted has more details about it.

My dad is a prostate cancer survivor, so I am in. I don't have much in the way of facial hair though, and can't make a stache magically appear.
  • i have a full beard it compensates for my lack of hair on top. Ill grow my moustache slightly longer for a good cause, have a history of cancer in my family.
  • Don't go in for it myself but completely support you guys that are. I hope you raise loads of money. I'm a little boring and pay a monthly donation to Cancer Research direct from my bank account. Good to see others on here are fighting the good fight for worthwhile causes.
