I know Brady stated it earlier, but it's such a powerful, emotional scene. I would be lying if I said I didn't tear up when I watched it.
considering that there is absolutely no other reason for him to put on a pair of shades - why else would he?.... i always thought it was weird that he put on the shades, and always wondered why - when he obviously didn't need them prior... it's because he's masking the emotion in his eyes... its also not only him breaking some bad news, but handing over her brother's effects - and then seeing how it affected Domino.
The whole scene is so well done and I think George does a really convincing job of showing his emotion. I like the way that the credits role over the bullet hole in the windscreen. I like the soft music - even that is emotional.
The only bit that I'm not sure about is the close up of Blofeld. That looks a trifle too comical for me, with the neck brace. Not to mention the fact that he would probably have been decapitated by that tree, but that's for another thread.......
I always thought it was purely to look damned cool - which he certainly did
A bit like this - B-) (but more so)
I always hated that. It's nice that they have a flirtatous relationship however, it won't be anythng but because she's not really his type. So, to see her crying because Bond is getting married makes Moneypenny look pathetic.

No. It would be Dario cutting that guy's heart out.
But really the only death that actually makes me properly sad is Tracy's in OHMSS. Mainly because of the wedding scene before it and because Lazenby plays it so well.
It's funny because Vespers death is much more dramatic, but I never really felt sad when she died. Mainly because I didn't buy into her and Bonds relationship that much.
But I never really warmed to her much in Craigs films and even in SF I thought she came across as a bit unlikeable during bits of it. If I liked the character more, I'd have been sadder.
Skyfall when severine asks him to help her!
This scene with Camille is one of my favorites. I think after Vesper Bond probably trained himself to think women were dumb and inconvenient so that he wouldn't let his guard down again, but Camille proved him wrong and she was probably the only man-hater that he never managed to seduce.
I see no reason at all to call her character a "man hater".
In SF, there was more humour with her and Bond, which made me like her better. But the interrogation scene with Silva made me think she was unlikeable. She's basically created this insane evil villian, she sold him out to the chinese, and she doesn't show any remorse. I felt bad for him.
She did talk to Bond about how she'd messed up later on, but I took that as she was guilty because of the list and the dead agents, not because of Silva.
These are some of my favorite things from Skyfall.
In fact, I don't think M is the one who "created" Silva's evil at all. Granted, you would grudge about that, but like I said: He is the one who stepped out of line, and M did is what she had to do, and what was required of her. He is the one who is such a pathetic and selfish human being that he will kill anyone who got in his way just to get revenge on an old woman for what she did a decade or so earlier. His only reason to live is to get her, and in effect die with her. Silva is the one who created his own villainy, not M. He let the evil take control until his life meant nothing more to him that to get revenge. What the Chinese did to Silva was out of her control, and though he was her favorite agent at the time, that trust she thought she had with him was lost with his betrayal. That is why I think trust is so important to her. She sees that same recklessness in Bond and tries to steer him in the right direction before he becomes Silva 2.0. And in effect, we see a mature and loyal Bond in Skyfall.

that actually makes sense :))
okay that's probably going a bit far. but i personally get the feeling that if she wasn't so horrified by Medrano, and by having to get Greene on his back, she would have slept with Bond at some point.
But I'm sorry, the scene in CR when he sucks Vesper's fingers in the shower is LAUGHABLY AWFUL.
