It did have drama, indeed. I feel the worst part was the ending.. but it wasn't bad. Just not the best part of the tune.
Perhaps if you kept the drums, but without the 'techno' remix effect, I'd have liked it better, but that's personal taste. It could very easily be one of Arnold's work.
Considering you've recently started composing, it's very good. With a real orchestra, the tune would be that much better. The brass sounds weak, but that's because I assume you used a computer program - which is fine.
When the final drums started, I expected something different than the techno remix it turned into. I'd have a preferred a straight drum tune, but I still enjoyed it as is.
Good work, I'll definitely check out all 8 as long as you keep us updated :)
the only suggestions i would have, is that the beginning goes on a little too long - as does the middle.. maybe tighten those up a bit - and in that middle part (towards it's end) maybe add some dramatic horn build up... i feel like all this piece is missing is just a climax.
Thanks for your comment, yes that's quite true. Bond brass should really be sharp and cut through the mix- I'm using sampled brass, but hope to get some real brass players from my friend's orchestra to rerecord that part.
Hello again, thanks for your suggestions. Yes on further listens I can hear what you mean. I have written a fictional title song and outro song for the project, so there will be quotes from those songs in those bars which repeat instead, so hopefully that'll be resolved in the final version.
With regards to the drums, perhaps I'll scale them back a bit towards the end since the brass really needs to cut through at that climax. Also I don't want to go too far and end up with a 'Die Another Day' kind of sound - I think drum wise TWINE is about the level I want to keep them at.
Cheers, guys- I'll keep updating and keep you posted!

Other than that for a "Newbie" this stuff is great, the first part sounds like it came from the FRWL-game. Keep this going, I'm following this.
"I Never Joke About My Work" - I see it as a kind of transition music as Bond arrives at MI6 or Q-Branch, similar to say 'New Digs' from the SF score.

This is really cool! This would be good soudtrack for a Bond film.
