Ilse Steppat? That’s what I would have suggested if I was Peter Hunt!

Fun guesses. Someone who was around and could do it spontaneously.

I feel honoured to see you participating in another quiz. Always appreciate your great guesses. This time it's wrong, but that would be great trivia.
John Glen would be funny, too.

I hope I won't disappoint all of you.
Here comes the important clue: You don't need to know the name to win this round!

I know his name but you probably never heard the name before. Hence, you can describe the person without using his name.

    The owner of the barn?

Exactely. He was a good skier, so they asked him to do it. His son still lives there on the farm and told the story.

Ah that’s a great little fact, just luck on my part really, if it’s not a name we would know I figured it had to be a local.

let’s try this: in an early draft of TSWLM, Mankiewicz wrote a line for Anya which includes the name of a character from a previous Bond film. Which character?

Colonel Klebb? I feel it would have to be a Russian

@Last_Rat_Standing has the right idea, but as there’s been no more posts and if you don’t know it it’s pretty much just a guessing game I’ll drop the answer tomorrow and let someone else take over.

I believe it was Tataina Romanov. In fact I heard a rumour that they were thinking of bringing her back.

Well done @Birdleson (and @thedove). After they order a drink for each other in the Mojaba Club the dialogue would have continued

Bond: You’re much more beautiful than you were in your pictures, Major Amasova
XXX: The only picture we have of you Mr Bond was taken in bed with one of our agents, a Miss Tatiana Romanova
    Bond: And was she smiling?
XXX: As I recall, her mouth was not immediately visible in the photograph
Bond: Ah, then I was smiling.

    Apparently Roger loved the line!

It’s a nice little anecdote recounted by Mankiewicz in Giammarco’s ‘For Your Eyes Only’ - you can imagine Roger delivering those lines with relish!

I don't wish to stall the thread and can't think of a question so it's up for grabs for anyone who'd like a go!

Many thanks, because I've had this waiting for a while.

What uniquely connects Rosa Klebb and Brunskill, the waiter serving Col. Smithers in GF?

Both actors still born in the 19th century, or something like that? But are they really "unique" in that regard? Haven't checked any others so far.

You are correct - the actors Lotte Lenya and Denis Cowles are the only two people to appear in Bond films who were born in the 19th century. Well done sir.
