TSWLM had the Lotus sub, excellent miniatures, the quintessential OTT cinema Bond plot, and a fairly mean dispatch of the villain.
OP had Barry music, a surprisingly Fleming-like spy plot, a crisp pace and cool stunts aplenty.

These are Moore's two 'biggest' Bond movies IMO.
Which do you like better?

Prefer TSWLM but watched Octopussy last week and it is certainly the next best Bond Sir Roger did. The action sequences are really well done and the pay off with the bomb is handelled with a nice bit of suspence. I also like the way that Bond in the clown costume ties up with the macabre death of 009 at the begining of the film.
I think Louis Jordan is a weak villian and Gobinda is a great henchman but is under used.
Could have done without the 'Keep you in curry' line, those crazy '80's hey.
