So what was Peter Morgan's big opener? (spoilers I guess)

I read somewhere that Morgan had a big shocker for his unused screenplay, one that would make it into the final film. This seemed to be hinted at with the shot of M with the coffins draped in the Union Flag. Actually, this really was another area where the trailer hinted at so much more; the villain personally being behind the deaths of our boys in Afghanistan or the Middle East, or the entire 00 section wiped out (while Bond was away, presumed dead). I thought it would be one of those two, or a massive terrorist attack on London (not really, it was just about shooting M at the meeting).

Anyone know?

I think, echo is right here. When he said that, the specualtions all were about M dying...

Quite possibly, but I did a search on 'Peter Morgan' and got nothing, sorry...

Anyhow, if so I thought the death would be at the beginning of the film, 'hook' suggests it's the big shock opener. Otherwise, M's death isn't hugely original is it, I mean fans have been coming up with that for years. Was expecting more.
