The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

I still maintain bond 25’s title will deal with the location of the climax similar to Casino Royale and Skyfall

    My honest guess

    Quarterdeck
    Risico
The Hildebrand Rarity (as Hildebrand was set up as a location)
    The silver phantom
    Shamelady
    The Garden of Death

Or the title will be original but pertain to the climax

    Totally agree.
Not into any of the ideas mooted here.
Think if it's announced as Shatterhand, I would breath a sigh of relief!

I would be fine with Shatterhand. At least is "Fleming".

I agree that there's been some terrible suggestions. But it illustrates how hard it is finding a cool name this far down the pike. If you try to be clever, and substitute a word for another word, like Live and Let Die or You Only Live Twice, it never seems to work. I can't believe that people actually like 'Once Upon A Spy'. It doesn't work in the same way as LALD at all.
I think they'll go for a Skyfall type title. Something that means nothing outside the film, but sounds cool.
The other option is to have a title taken from a line of dialogue, like Die Another Day (which was admittedly a bit lame). In this way, Skyfall could have been called Last Rat Standing. Which isn't very Bondian, but at least works as a title for a spy thriller.

I think it's a problem big action flix have had to grapple with in recent years. Look at Star Trek and MI.
    Into Darkness
    Fallout
    Beyond
None of them what you'd call inspired, are they?

Last Spy Standing (or similar) could've worked if the plot involved one spy (Bond) vs another.

(I think this one has been mentioned before already.)

I'd like a title with the word Spy in. Or something along the lines of 'Duty'. Not Back to Duty, but something like that. Something that says 'Return' without using the word 'Return'.

Not using Swan Song wastes a great product placement opportunity. On M's desk, ideally. Plus it's TWO S-words.

Shouldn't it be Swann Song, not Swan Song? I'm pretty sure it was two n's. :-?

    You're correct, @MajorDSmythe , it's Swann since it is referencing Proust's novel.

Not forgetting that it's already a Columbo episode title, guest starring Johnny Cash. Now that was a good episode.

Love that Columbo episode. It's one of the best ones, IMO – and that says a lot!

It certainly is one of the best ones. Virtually the whole of Season 3 of Columbo is great in my view. The episodes of that season were of a very high calibre.

It's one of my favourites. The show really takes a step up in that season. And it was already brilliant.

All things good about Columbo reach further heights in season 3. One can argue that the following seasons doesn't quite match it, but they're still highly entertaining, and Peter Falk is fantastic in all of them.

Haven't seen the 80's-00's episodes yet, but I must do so soon.

I think that Season 4 of Columbo was really excellent too and then it kind of trails off again with Season 5 (with only really one outstanding episode there) and Season 6 before returning to excellence again in Season 7.

There's not much separating season 3 and 4 as far as quality goes. Season 3 is just marginally better, IMO. From season 4, I find "A Deadly State of Mind" and "Troubled Waters" to be the standout episodes. As for season 5-7, I agree completely.

Going off topic here; sorry about that!

Is there a possibility that EON will use the title of a videogame for BOND 25?

    [*] NightFire
    [*] Everything Or Nothing
    [*] Blood Stone

    ;)

I would very much doubt that they'll use an existing Bond title, outside of those that remain from Fleming's short stories. It's even too much to hope that they'll ever use a Bond continuation novel title or plot so I think we can definitely rule out a Bond video game title too.

Why don't they just call it Bond 25 and be done with it? That's what everyone else is calling it, after all. It reminds me of the joke back when Tomorrow Never Dies was in production that they were just going to call the then new film Bond 18.

I'm sure that that joke has been used since many times for each new Bond film where the title for not known for a while. However, I think that this production takes the biscuit for the length of time before the title has been revealed!
