The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

We all know the usual suspects Risico, Shatterhand, you name it. We have all seen them suggested. But what about something fresh.

But I have wrote up a list of Ian Fleming inspired titles I would like to see. I have had these saved up for a while, still waiting to see them get used on a movie. Some are titles he thought ip but did not use and some are chapter titles or a turn of phrase from a book. I hope you like them too and consider them for Bond 25.

    The Last and the Biggest
    Death Leaves an Echo
    Iron Crab
    Property of a Lady
    State of Excitement
    The Rough with the Smooth
    Seven Deadlier Sins
    Blunt Instrument
    Birds of the West Indies
Five Secret Occasions in the Life of James Bond

I think it’s time for a long title again. It’s been 20 years since we had a one. Based on what we know about Bond 25 I reckon Birds of the West Indies and Property of a Lady or Last and the Biggest would be good picks for Bond 25 ay. What do you all think :)

Birds of the West Indies? Are you serious?

I really like Seven Deadlier Sins though. That would make a great title.

"No, Idris Elba is not in this."

On a serious Note, i like this one:

But i would slightly change it to:
A Bullet With Your Name On It.

Reminds me of You Only Live Twice.

And I would have the perfect Poster for that as well:

  • What about if Bond visits to the Pacific Islands in Bond 26 or a future movie. I am from the Cook Islands and would love to see Bond in this paradise :) But enough about me. I thought about some titles too if Bond visits the Pacific Islands.

    Moonlighting
    Time Makes a Wine
    Pasifika

Just a few I cooked up ay. What do you think.

I've been as close as American Samoa, @Mana_Wahine. The Pacific and South Pacific have a boatload of fantastic locations for a villain's caper, Bond's sleuthing. Made for some long overdue scuba activity. And a Māori or French-Polynesian Bond Girl would be right on time.

Good brainstorming on the titles, gotta get those in while you can. Cooked up. I see what you did there.

    Yeah that's what I read too. B-)
  • If you watch closely at the Bond 25 Reveal you will notice two things.

I have watched the Bond Reveal a lot and judging by that Reveal I think there is possible titles for Bond 25. hwerre we have a shortlist of titles you can see this from the Bond reveal:

    Coco and Coffee
    Crow
    Powder Burn

If you watch Bond Reveal closely you will see they have 3 white men, latino and a variety of sheebas.
Daniel Craig is on record saying he has used and is worn out.

I quite like a morbid title. Something like:

    When Tears Will Fall

I've always liked My Enemy's Enemy, the ones based on idioms are the best. Once Upon A Spy is good too.

    My top three titles:

    Death To Spies
    Shaken Not Stirred
    When Tears Will Fall

Shaken Not Stirred would be cool for Bond 26 and a new Bond actor.

Garden Of Death is good but not sure if the average Joe would embrace it. Probably be similar to the negative reaction to Quantum Of Solace. That title seemed to confuse people.

Shatterhand - yes, obvious future choice.

Property Of A Lady - another very obvious choice but who knows if it fits with Bond 25's storyline. I guess a new female 007 could tie in with the title. Eon didn't go with that title so I'm assuming they don't think it's a natural fit for the storyline.

A Reason To Die is okay and would work if a character, perhaps the villain, says the line on screen. "There's always a reason to die, Mr Bond."

I can understand why Eon almost went with that title. If they stuck the title in a line of dialogue I think most fans would accept it.

Shatterhand. still my favourite of the ones mentioned. It sounds most Bondian to me, like Goldfinger or Thunderball.

Of all the cool suggestions I've seen mentioned on this long thread,

    DEATH TO SPIES

is the one that really struck me as "yep, that sounds perfect. Wonderfully dramatic and to the point."

If sounds the type of title Fleming might have used as a final Bond novel. If Fleming had decided to retire from writing I reckon it would be the ideal title:

    DEATH TO SPIES

    by

    Ian Fleming

It sounds really dramatic, don't you think? And it's instantly memorable. When Bond 25 is released and you go to Box Office Mojo and see it in the chart you know DEATH TO SPIES is a Bond film. It's going to stand out from Star Wars 104 or Disney's remake of the remake of Aladdin. :P No-one is gonna see the title DEATH TO SPIES and think "what that about?"

It's just so matter-of-fact and blunt. Say it out aloud. It's so direct. Perfect!

Say the title out loud over a Bond gun barrel intro. Wow. It's such a wonderful title for Bond film. Please Eon, consider it. :)
