I may still see it in the theatre now that you fellas are BROWBEATING ME INTO IT!!! :))

As a 007 fan you should make an exception and go and see Skyfall in cinema. I will go and see any 007 movie they show in cinema (even the Dalton ones) just because they are at their best on the big screen.

And I will buy the dvd of course.

I'll drive one town over where they have a GOOD theatre.

I guess that this thread is the right place to ask:Are MGM going to announce a special limited edition of SkyFall? If yes when?
  • I cannot in my wildest imagination short of being dead or incapacitated imagine myself not going to see a Bond film in the theater. 44 years running now. That's why whenever I read a comment from someone stating they won't go because of the actor, or will wait for DVD, I get very testy. Get insulted all you want if this fits you, but to me you are not my definition of a true Bond hardcore.

I am eagerly awaiting the March release as is my son and brother. Can't wait.

I'm not insulted (Unless you say Brosnan was a worthless Bond), in fact, I *may* not be a true Bond hardcore. There are Gardner books I have yet to read, my PPKs are BB guns- not real ones, and I don't own a Tux.
But I was there first run in the theatre for Connery's last EON Bond! Can you say the same? :-? :))

Yes I was there for DAF, and OHMSS before that for first theatrical runs. My post was strictly in regards to seeing the films in the theater. NSNA doesn't count :P

    DVD:

    2550009275896

Title Sequence - Working Titles | Women - The Good, The Bad and the Beautiful | Locations - License To Travel | DB5 - Behind the wheel | Soundtrack promotional spot

    BD:

    2550009275902

    Intro | Opening Sequence -
    The Death of Bond
    | Title Sequence - Working The Titles | 007 - The return of James Bond | Q- Back to Basics | DB5 - Behind the wheel | Women - The Good, The Bad and the Beautiful | Villains - In The Shadows | Locations - License To Travel | Music - The Sound of Bond | The End sequence - The Beginning of the End | M - Changes | The Future - New Beginnings | Skyfall Premiere | Commentary by Director Sam Mendes | Commentary by Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and Production Designer Dennis Gassner | Soundtrack promotional spot

As expect released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and both as it look like on this moment going to be a 1 disc. At this moment no release date yet and extra's can change. A bit strange there going to be Soundtrack promotional spot on it, whyle there never show a spot for that on tv. Also as with Casino Royale happend too, no trailers of the movie.

Whyle earlier i expect the Dvd wil get poster art of poster 2 (Bond on the floor) the BD wil get that and art of the dvd wil get art of poster 3 (Bond in Blue Tux).

I hope that some poster art isn't just copy and used on the DVD/Blu-ray. I would love to see a cover in the vane of an old Bond poster, possibly drawn and painted instead.
  • I saw Skyfall, at Imax in London and it was a great experience. However, I'm also looking forward to picking up the BD.

The real problem with pop corn in movie theatres isn't the stink, it's the noise which is distracting and disrespectful to others who are watching the film.

Definitely see it at the theatres. The photography is incredible and worth seeing on the big screen. Go see a matinee at a lower price if cost is an issue. The crowds will have also thinned out by now.

I hate going to the movies now. Popcorn laced with fake butter that makes me sick after, endless trailers for movies I have no interest in, and then a fuzzy movie digital image to boot.

The time I saw SF, I bought candyfloss, the trailers for The Guilt Trip and Man Of Steel got me interested and the movie was very good quality. Also, once I've got SF, the best 007 by a mile, I'm having a complete Bond-a-thon. So, basically, I can't wait.

    February 18th?? Is that right??

Seems a little too soon for a DVD release of such a mega monster hit movie...not that I'm complaining.

That is not too far away and it makes sense because in the uk at the start of feb the Bond blu rays which haven't been released singulary are released. As @M_Balje mentioned the special features look pretty good as well, they look better than the first releases of CR and QOS anyway and looking forward to hearing the commentrys.

It's quite something to get the commentaries first time round again. This should provide the bulk of information, I'd guess.

I hope this is true, because then the BR owners will get a real treat. Meanwhile we " DVDers " will get the small edition. Just like with TDKR...

Am i the only one who thinks the " The Future - New Beginnings " looks interesting. Will we get a insight in the work on Bond 24?
  • Like most I am eagerly awaiting the DVD release of Skyfall but would be well chuffed if a special edition came out. Still awaiting the deluxe version of Quantum Of Solace. Has anybody heard of either?

I don't think the deluxe version of QoS is ever going to see the light of day, including the alternate ending to the film.
  • The blu-ray features seem a ton better. That sucks, the only thing I really want are the director and producer commentaries. This blows. I pray that someone uploads them online but I'm not sure if that's really a done thing.

To me it look like we get one making off documentry in 14 parts. The way it be done now it be easy for them to at later a bonus disc and making a 2 disc. No sign of a booklet, the Everthing or Nothing documentry, the presconference, trailers of the movie and tv spots.
  • I can watch a movie in a theater without eating their popcorn, I also agree talking about the quality of the food they sell, but when I go I'm only interested on the movie. :)
  • And.. HELL YEAH! Of course i'm gonna buy the BD/DVD too. Skyfall was my favorite of Daniel Craig.

Everything or Nothing is getting a stand alone DVD release here in the UK,

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Everything-Nothing-The-Untold-Story/dp/B00ANQXMG0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356278405&sr=8-1
  • Nothing yet for a U.S release of E.O.N, no surprise it's being sold separately from SF.

Please tell me Dan, Javier, Berenice, Naomie and Deakins join in a commentary as well?! [-O<

That would be nice but even if we get an original cover, I doubt they'd have it hand drawn and painted like the old film posters.
