Haha, you're probably right there. The X Files was the first series, as an adult, that really captured my imagination. Yes, it got a little crazy as it went on but i stuck with it until the end. I still have the odd XFileathon now.

I am in one right now, with my son who only caught a couple of episodes before. Way into season two now. The Bounty Hunter has appeared, one of my favourite characters.

Super. Hope you and your son are enjoying it. A great series. Due a rewatch myself once we move house.

The bounty hunter is a great character. Brian Thompson is the perfect actor for that role. Always thought he could have made a decent henchman in a Bond movie.

Not a bad idea come to think of it, but I'd personally prefer a football or basketball. I always like to toss a ball around while I'm reading, on the computer, or just hanging out. It's relaxing and helps to clear the mind.

Subject to change within the next 15 minutes...as always:

    1. Giuseppe Tornatore's "La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano" (I suppose none of you would have thought about THAT ONE, but it's my favourite feel-good movie, and I don't need action aggravation on a lonely island). Though considering the situation, I admit that a decent porn movie might make more sense. And no, in that situation I'd pass on Bond.
    2. The Avengers, no, not the Marvel stuff, but the original BBC series. The Emma Peel seasons will suffice.
    3. Most likely some Beatles album. Revolver, Sergeant Pepper, or Abbey Road. Lots of immediate runners-up from scores of artists.
    4. Something to keep me busy although I haven't read it yet, or at best an awfully long time ago. If this is restricted to some single book, I'd think of Thomas Mann's "Magic Mountain" which I'm not even sure I've read. Maybe "Buddenbrooks" instead for personal love of the city of Lübeck. But certainly no crime/action/suspense stuff that I'd be through with within three hours or so and would have very little pleasure in re-reading.
    5. Entrecôte/ribeye steak, with fried potatoes and some veg (I love spinach, by the way!) Only if there's nothing else, of course. A couple of pints of beer would be welcome.
    6. I've never played a computer game beyond FreeCell in my life, so I'll pass on those. But if I'm to be alone, a card set for playing solitaire might be the sensible decision.

I am glad I am not the only one who thought about porn for number one given the circumstances. I'll come back for the rest.
