Yes, I am sorry about that. I don't usually go in for such hyperbole, but it was more of an afterthought. Sorry to have "ruffled feathers" there.
Don't apologize, it isn't a big deal. From what I have seen of your blog, I really like it. I read a bit on Bond and his religion, and can't wait to get into the more Fleming-centric posts as well. Your writing is very intellectual and informative. Keep up the good work! :)>-
Well, thank you, kind sir. Kind words from a loyal fan are very rare...
:)
You sound like you know your subject which only makes it even more perplexing as to why you are such a fan of the, frankly, mediocre NSF. I would have it firmly in the bottom half of Gardners efforts. What is your reasoning?
My reasoning re NSF will become apparent when a 20-year celebration article becomes available on the blog in July 2013. To say anything else would be to spoil the surprise. Let's just say it's going to be a good one - fan or not!
I like esoteric aspects of the JB world - who wants to read another review/appreciation of Goldfinger and the DB5 for example. Not me!
Anyway, thank you again for all your kind words re my blog. They're very much appreciated. Persiration not inspiration and all that!
Thanks very much, thelion, yes, it seems very neat now that we have the Scots heritage-obsessed and origin story that is Skyfall - though it was written back in 2007!

Anyway, go on with your great pieces of work. Very interesting the religious one...
Happy New Year 2013 and Happy Bonding to you all here on MI6 Community. You are one of the best Bond sites out there and should be proud of this fact!
Keep supporting my blog - your readership and support is what keeps me going. Perhaps I should turn my hand to The Bondologist Book - what do you think? Would there be a market in the areas of obscure/unheard of aspects of this great science some of us call Bondology? Or is the market I'm aiming for too niche? Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated by this struggling blog author!
Thanks for making The Bondologist Blog such a success in its first year of running (it was only set up on 28 May 2012) and thanks also very much for all your attention in 2013 when I hope the blog will become even better known to literary and cinematic James Bond fans the world over!

I've just launched a 'Right to Reply' section on my The Bondologist Blog.
5. The influence of Fascist Italy on the James Bond novels (and films)
7. Ian Fleming and James Bond: their combined views on fishing, shooting and hunting
9. James Bond in the Daniel Craig Era: A review of Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall (2005-2012)
Any other interest in these titles or in The Bondologist Blog in general?

Please feel free to leave all of yopur comments in this dedicated blog thread or in the comments box function on the blog itself!
Martin Amis has already replied to it, correcting a silly mistake I had made in the article!
Actually, I just read an older article about the influence of the defence of Britain during WWII on John Gardner's book Seafire. (gee, how nice, I spelled defense like a Brit for second there ...) ;)
Thanks, and keep up the good work, dear @Dragonpol.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and praise. A lot of new stuff will go up in the coming weeks and months. I have a heavy case load to deliver but I really want The Bondologist Blog to become a one-stop shop for all things James Bond. This is my aim and promise to all James Bond fans and I only hope that I can deliver this.
Thanks,
Dragonpol.
