I think he means, Don't post a deadline unless your sure it will be released on the date you provide. It's like saying, I'm going to release a movie in June, but don't get around to releasing it in July.

Is there any need for that tone?

Pitch perfect. by that i mean without the articles to back him up he is just setting deadlines that he fails to meet, pitches he fails to meet. By setting outlines that he might lose interest in, what i suggest is he holds his articles back a bit and updates them at his leisure.

No one is stroppy, just suggesting you take yourself out from under the gun.

Now if you excuse me ladies, emotions seem to have run high

Oh, I know what he means by that and in a way he is right, but I am editing said article so it will appear in time. He has the best of intentions for me to get on with it, I know. We PM each other on it, in fact.

Sorry - I didn't really mean that. Yes, I do need to take the gun away from my temple. I hope to upload the Colonel Sun one in October.

Well, that seems a worthy goal.

I'm sure some of them must be of interest too you as a Bond fan? I do try to write for a general audience, though I like to focus on the road less-travelled when it comes to Bond articles, as you can see from my blog.

Whilst it is a great place to be involved in I can't help but think that you would be better off spending less time here and some more of your time with your own blogs as you now have two and then maybe we all might be able to enjoy some of the articles that are promised as I for one would care to read them oh and David please don't take this as a gripe it's just some advice offered in good faith Regards Coggins .

No, I don't take that as a gripe at all, @mrcoggins. I really do need to knuckle down and get these articles out there once and for all! I've just popped in to get the Revised Topic List updated with new article titles. I shall return to my blog duties; that I promise on my word of honour.

I've just updated the Revised Topic List before I post some new content on the blog. There are a few new things in there as I wanted to weed out anything that I thought would not belong on there for the remaining 79 articles out of a grand total of 80.

    What happened to the bondologist?

Oh, no. It still exists. This is just another little blog I've set up to deal with topics that are a little too arcane for even The Bondologist Blog! I do hope that the two can peacefully co-exist!
  • That's a relief. I was worried we'd never get to hear the Elvis Apology.

Yes, that one's on the way. To be honest, I set up this The Alternative James Bond Blog last Christmas 2012 but it's only now that I've actually thought up some content for it.

Don't worry, I'm busily beavering away at a number of new articles for The Bondologist Blog that I really hope to get uploaded ASAP so please watch that blog space for articles updates!

P.S. Are you a fan of Elvis from QoS, @soundofthesinners? If so, or even if not, you may enjoy what I have to say in his defence on The Bondologist Blog in time! Here's hoping!

I'm more of a fan of Elvis than most. I find something about his awfulness endearing. I also think the article will be pretty funny.

Yes, I'll be keeping this one rather light which as you may know is not a tone I write in very often on the more serious-minded articles that have already appeared on The Bondologist Blog of late. Should be a bit of fun, but with the serious side of defending the seemingly indefensible - Elvis as a Bond henchman! I rather like Elvis too (there, I said it) and feel like defending him and his role in the film. I think that his character is terribly misunderstood amongst Bond fans and I wish to put that right in the defence counsel article I'm writing on the character.

  • Should be great. Is there any kind of timetable for it?

Well, it should hopefully be up by the end of the year, if that is any guide. It won't be as in-depth as some of the other pieces, but it should be light relief anyhow.

Great! I like to build up some anticipation for these articles, though I do need to be more prolific than I currently am. My laptop's been repaired so things should flow more naturally from here on in! Sorry for the delay in new content being posted on The Bondologist Blog, but I am endeavouring to fix this oversight.

I have visited your blog before, and decided to revisit after being reminded of its existence. Some great pieces there, I will continue to explore it. Thank you for that site.

My pleasure. I'm always happy to get feedback on the blog site and on the forum here. It makes writing these articles more fun and the main reason I do it is for the Bond fans like myself and to explore the Lesser Spotted Bondology in all of its splendour.
