I really hope Rihanna takes her cyanide capsule on a peaceful, quiet little island.

That's a little harsh, but I also would like her to be as far removed from a Bond movie as possible.

I think Rihanna could do a great job. She's one of those artist who I have to separate their personal life and tabloid exploits from the music they produce; lady Ga Ga is another. I feel both could do a great title song.

Come on.....a. It of Bond mixed with Rihanna isn't that bad :-P. Remember, M gave her a fake one. It'll only burn her mouth from the inside :-P. I'm not as cruel as you think.

I think rihanna could do a great bond song as well. Hell have her in the title sequence walking completely Billy bollocked on top of a gun.

Poor Rhianna ;-) must confess i am oblivious to pretty much anything reported on her? Very rarely watch tv, never read tabloids etc.

Let's have Shirley Bassey belt out another one. She still has the pipes for it. For old time sake. :)

Are people seriously questioning as to why Rihanna would be a terrible choice to sing the next theme song?
I don't know her enough, but I can't say she comes to my mind to sing the Bond song. I would rather hear Adele again, in any case. Or Duffy, just because she already did pseudo-Bond songs.

Does anybody have any plot ideas for Bond 24?

For your inspiration. Songs that Rihanna never makes and that ooze the Bond vibe better....in my opinion. Please take into account that I like these songs as potential sounds for a Bond song. The actual artists are not necessarily my favourite artists:

    --> Michael Bublé:

--> Alison Goldfrapp (Her music has been used many times for TV series. Time for more!):

--> Benjamin Biolay (I know, he's from France, but he's influenced heavily by American soul):

--> Laura Mvula (tracks #6, #10 & #12 please :-). Remember, she already sang a title song for the film 'Twelve Year's A Slave'. Link? Ejifor ;-)?):

--> Lana Del Rey (She already did some movie songs, including 'The Great Gatsby' and 'Malevicent'):

--> Jonathan Jeremiah (his voice makes me rather...uhm...I won't say it :-P):

    --> Caro Emerald:

--> The Killers (very A-Ha-esque. But if a band wants to do it, then I think The Killers are the ones):

I would love to see Arctic Monkeys perform the title song, especially following the success of their 'AM' album back in 2013 and their cover of Diamonds are Forever is exceptional.

"I'm sure it has been; but what percentage of the audience will be sitting there going " Hey! Bruce Lee's already done that! Twice!"

Once you mean : Lee vs Norris.......Bruce Le aka Won Kin Lung (the imitator , note spelling) fought Wang Jang Lee. But I see your point , fair enough........

Who has any plot ideas for Bond 24, with keeping in mind what we already know about the film, e.g.

    -Locations
-Plane crash/explosion at the temporary house set
    -Car chase
    -Similar themes from Skyfall
    -Possible snow rescue
    -Log cabin filming
    -etc.

I thought the rumours sounded very similar to events that happen in the Raymond Benson's novel 'High Time to Kill':

    - the plane crash
    - the snow locations

But I know they're not going to be doing that or any other novels.

A "snow rescue" to me usually sounds something that will be done in the PTS. I mean, in the past the "big accidents" always happened in the PTS. From hijacking a submarine, a space shuttle, secret agents being killed, losing artefacts like a NATO-harddrive or an ATAC system, to Bond being shot. The "damage" usually happens in the PTS, and then Bond goes on a mission to find out what happened.

I for one am glad nothing major has leaked out so far. I hope the title makes it to the press conference before it is revealed! Adds to the excitement!
  • I might have missed something, but has it been confirmed the press conference will be December 6th or is that speculation?

Maybe Benson's novels have inspired this particular Bond film haha (I doubt that a lot).

It's kind of disappointing that Bond 24 doesn't really celebrate any milestones in the series and doesn't have as much relevance as, for example, Skyfall did with the golden anniversary.

Oh many of us are happy enough it is not an anniversary film and therefore may have less nods to previous films (less obvious nods, that is). I think Skyfall did that just right; DAD went way overboard.
