I have read some of the early script of TND and while I am not a big fan of the finished product, it was a vast improvement over the early version.
That said, regarding Idris Elba, sorry but no. He is an admirable actor, but he is no Blofeld.
On the contrary, they can chooses image for the clapperboards that can cause confusion.
I mean, already, and it was not intentional obviously, the twitter photo of scene 21 does not match scene 21 of the early leaked script (it matches another scene though...). Now, all they have to do is choose images that do not confirm what is in the leak. And people will start to have the fun back, because even with the early scripts, you don't know what the image shows. They simply have to focus on a detail, and not on the main part of the scene.
I agree with you, I think EON will fully take back the power from these leaks now that they're in production.
What I'm interested in is the news @PanchitoPistoles and @Suivez_ce_parachute have mentioned leaked in emails such as casting news. Do we know any other names that were bandied around for Spectre or even other titles considered?
Tilda Swinton was definitely considered to play the main villain (and this isn't a spoiler since the role she was considered for doesn't exist in the movie anymore, she was NOT considered for Bellucci's role), although I am not sure how seriously. In the early days of the development of any movie they literally consider dozens of people for various roles.
I don't think Tilda Swinton was a definite consideration, she was just someone some people wanted to see in the film.
I mean, now we can read for instance a very early Goldeneye script, and wonder what would have happened if it had been filmed that way (Brosnan's introduction would have been in a PTS in which an helicopter follows a high speed train in a tunnel... a few months before Mission:Impossible ending the same way !). Because, well, an unfilmed script becomes part of the legend. It's an info that can be made public after a few years without causing any trouble, etc.. But imagine (I'm making this up) comments from some MGM executive to another saying that in Goldeneye, Brosnan's salary can be cut by half because he's desperate to play Bond ? It will never be public even after many years. And these leaks have made public such comments from Sony that even Mendes, Broccoli, etc.. should never have read.
Let me be more clear : in this leak, everyone has access to private professional mails (and the truth is that many people at Sony wonder if they're next, including all those who used their professional mails for personal matters...). When one reads it, you feel you have access to "the hidden truth".
But the truth is that when you write professional mails, you keep on lying. You keep on writing what your business partner wants to hear. You keep on avoiding anything that will cause too much controversy. Etc.. Hence you end up saying some client is an idiot, just because you feel you're writing to someone who wants to hear something like that, not because you really think he's an idiot.
So discussing all this is very weird. Yes it will be a goldmine for behind-the-scenes books authors. But is it "the truth" ? Not really.
You are absolutely right and I will shut my mouth from now on, I do not want to accidentally write any spoilers.
It may be pure speculation from my part, but I think they may have had Christoph Waltz in mind for a while before he was cast.
Finally some action is being undertaken. Just imagine that on many other websites the negative banter keeps going on. It's now already overblown, and on the Daily Mail today I read a sub-headline saying "Studio executives have said the script is a huge disappointment" (And I am NOT going to post that link. Search it yourself...on Google or whatever).
I am not going to co-conspire with North-Korea, Guardians of Peace, and hacker-feeding-media, anymore. I am going to focus on nice things. On things that brings back the fun and excitement that comes with a "Bond-year".
So to enhance that fact, I actually found a very nice article from WhatCulture. Have a read guys. Because I think we're on our way to witness one hell of a Bond film ;-):

Reading the Script and all the leaked spoilers is one thing, sharing with our readers and with the whole world, is something completely different my dear friend @PanchitoPistoles. :)
Fully agreed here Marketto
Sony's lawyers *might* feel differently:
The Hollywood Reporter posted a copy of the letter it got from those lawyers:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/custom/Sony Letter.pdf
There'a line in there about how the company does not consent "to your possession, review, copying, dissemination, publication, uploading, downloading, or making any use of the Stolen Information."
Part of that ("review") makes it sound like Sony is claiming they couldn't even *read* it.
Several media outlets got the same letter.
Of course it is different. All I am saying is that the statement is hypocritical, since the only reason that statement was made is becasue you and the admins of those other sites wanted to seem like you are 100% on EON's side even though you are not. If you were, you wouldn't even think about reading the script and the other leaked materials.
Everyone needs to stop overreacting about this obvious FAKE script leak..
Chill.
It's not fake.
I have read many excerpts and it is really stupid..
Apparently there were some sexual remarks made by Tanner? Why would that even be in the movie? I am really tired of people talking about the "leak", let's get back on topic.
Cool! Thanks a lot @ColonelSun!
Allow me to comment on this as I am one of the admins who drafted the statement:
I have not read the script and don´t intend to do so, I am also not in posession of any stolen documents or files and have also not "actively pursued acquisition of the illegal materials" as a tweet from @jamesbondlive adventurously suggests. I think it unwise to accuse anyone of having read or obtained the script! Actually, I find any such accusation shameful to be honest.
It would have been enough to pick up the headlines of major news outlets and run a story on my blog f.e. that the film is over budget - it was all out there. I decided not to pick anything up and turn it into a story because I knew this would have a damaging effect on SONY and EON.
We felt, this statement needed to be made - not just to distance ourselves from the entire media circus around the leak, but also to encourage others not to damage SONY and EON any further by spreading informations and details.
We are all huge fans of the longest running film franchise in history and instead of supporting the companies who produce and distribute it, not to mention each other, we go into accusation mode and throw hypocritical in the mix?
I wonder if there are people filming that are not on the cast list yet.
I agree, its a bit hypocritical, because you couldn't stay clear of posting revealing articles on your homepage. You could have set up the tone more clearly in NOT spoiling info yourself. All of that comes now way too late to feel honest. Sorry...
No need to translate, because it just says that.

Where have I posted revealing articles that have their source in the leaks? This is simply untrue. The stories on my blog, including coverage of the filming, all come from openly available sources.
